That is called a tensionless hitch and is used in high angle rescue, usually when you need the full strength of rope that you are working with. Although it does have a few rules that have to used when using it, you must always wrap the rope a minimum of 5 times and what you wrap it around has to be at least 4 times the rope diameter but most importantly it can not be around a hard and/or sharp edge. My only concern would be the square edge of the sticks although I don't think they are that sharp of an edge. The strength is nearly 100% of the original strength of the rope where knots give up as much as 80% of the starting strength. I don't use it on my sticks, I use a double wrap around the button and a half hitch behind that. It makes a safe strong attachment and easy to undo. Great to see you sharing good info Thanks.
Can’t do that with mine as I have stealth strips and it will distort it pretty bad. I just do a loop around the versa and then a truckers hitch from another loop. Several ways will work though. Thanks for the tips 👍

Are you selling daisie chains by chance?
No I'm not. They are easy to make and you can get the rope from a number of places. I got mine from DutchWear.com
Look for Trevor Byrd on the Saddle Hunter facebook group.
