You are too funny, these old songs will last forever and it is sad that your generation has never heard these, I am so happy that you guys are playing them now, congrats!!! See we loved our music and revered it. I am 73 and I even like some Rap, but not the real bad stuff. So happy you like Tom Jones!!!
He is now 72-75 years old and is a judge on The Voice UK and can still sing it. It may not be as high, but the strength and power is still there. When he first came to fame he was in direct competition with the Beatles and The Rolling Stones. I loved both those bands, but when I came home from high school it was Tom Jones Live From Las Vegas that went on the record player first. His version of, 'I'll Never Fall In Love Again' was and is one of my favorites of all time. And no that is not a typo, I said record player!! My favorite part of that 'Voice' show is when Sir Tom lets himself be talked into singing on the show. I get tears in my eyes just thinking about it. From all that I can gather he is a very sweet man. Yes, he likes the ladies, who doesn't, but not just the young ones, he treats them all well. I hope you will get to enjoy him. I wonder if he would ever sing a duet with Dimash? Now that would be something to watch and hear.
A duet with Dimash?! Yes, that would indeed, be quite, interesting. And it's Dimash who should feel honoured if such a thing ever happened. I'd love to have Dimash perform with Celine Dion as well. Don't know why, but I think their voices would go extremely, well together. For that matter, Celine and Tom himself, might not sound so bad together. Don't know if they've ever performed together or not. At any rate; personally, I feel Tom MAKES, the Voice UK right now. The very best thing about that show. And clearly, that must be true because they got rid of him - the crazy nuts - but had to bring him back. They ALL, should feel honoured to have his presence on that show. He's outlived and outperformed all of them put together. My Best. Out.
Hello girl. I'm started watching you only yesterday 9/15/19. And I love love love your channel. I love the way you react to these videos. I am a huuuuuuge fan of Tom Jones. I'm a 54yo Asian American female and I appreciate the older music. Keep doing what you're doing coz you're fun to watch. It's so refreshing to see young people actually listening to "real music". Its a pleasure stumbling on your channel. Good luck and I'll be following you.
Tom Jones was so big in our house in the 60’s and 70’s. Every time he had a TV special or was on Ed Sullivan we were right there loving his music and personality. He still performs. He’s still quite good.
I remember seeing Jones on a talk show back in the eighties when he told how he and his wife met. They both had taken refuge from the rain by jumping into the same British phonebooth which led to their eventual marriage. After he hit it big in showbusiness he bought the same phonebooth as a anniversary gift for his wife.
That phone booth sat beside his swimming pool at their home over in the States where he was working at the time and when he was there and his wife was back home in the UK pregnant he answered that very phone to hear the news she had given birth TRUE STORY . In fact Tom said hes had lots of important news via that phone over the years including the birth of his gandkids .
Yes but Linda lost the baby and they years later had a son. Tom admitted he cheated with up to 250 women a year at the height of his popularity but they were married 59 years and Tom was at her side all through her final illness When she passed away in 2016 Tom fell into a deep depression while grieving that lasted for years and it was his son insisting that he get help that convinced him to finally seek grief counseling. He really did love her his whole life.
@@patm4899 Tom never admitted to sleeping with all those women in fact hes well known for not answering questions about that , its all hear say and gossip no one but he knows who or how many women he slept with the rest is paper talk and gossip .
Thanks for this blast to the past! Tom is absolutely full of soul. My mother, who would have been 90 this year, loved his voice. Yes, she saw him in concert and threw panties on the stage, lol!
Try "You don't have to say you love me", by Dusty Springfield. Perhaps the best performance of the 1960s. BTW: When Tom Jones was first heard, but not seen, in America, nobody there would believe he was white.
You are correct, they don’t write songs this powerful or meaningful with the exception of Ed Sheeran! He is VERY talented and his “PERFECT” is one beautiful song!
Whenever he was in Vegas after his last show a lot of the entertainers would get together in one of the penthouses and relax. That relaxation would always include a lot of singing. In an interview Della Reese was asked who she thought had the most soul in his voice. She came back with Tom Jones. She recounted what I just mentioned and said he would go on all night singing.
When Tom Jones songs first came to America they did not put a photo of him. People thought he was African American. Nope A Welshman with a fantastic soul and set of pipes!!
Wow! Gotta Love that voice! Tom Jones & Elvis 2 of the sexiest men that ever lived, and they were friends! Those were the days! Thankfully, Tom is still out there singing!
Your reactions are just precious. Your facial expressions say everything that you think. In this particular video you brought me back to watching my mother watch Tom Jones on the TV she had the same reactions almost exactly. I laughed till I cried. Thank you.
In his live shows Women would through their Room Keys on stage and sometimes their underware .Thats no lie ! He has played all over the world !Women are CRAZY for him still !
I threw my room key (card) at him on stage when I sat in the front row to see his performance in Vegas! There were roses, panties, room cards...everything on stage!
I threw my tighty-whities on stage and they stuck to the bass drum! Then he threw them back at me and they landed on some lady's beehive 'do in front of me.

Mr. Tom Jones performs at the 100% level each performance, I have always been amazed that his voice has stood up to all of the work.. Candice Glover did this song when she was on American Idol.. W.G..

Every time I hear this song, “I Who Have Nothing” Tom Jones’ version; it breaks me down! It is a killer of a song especially if you are the person whom Tom is, in this song, talking about his love, for a woman/or for me, a man. Have you ever been in that kind of situation, where you are so in love with someone but you feel as though, you aren’t enough? It is very sad. I will say this, I think women are being taught today at a young age that "Material" is more important. So they go for the guy with the nice car. The better job. The better clothes. The guy that all the other women want. Yet we also see a lot of these women, once they get this man find its all empty (mostly) and either live a sad married life, or divorce later and find that their options are gone. More and more women are getting divorced and more are statistically unhappy than ever before. This is not a wild guess, this is written and studied.
