Jules, I'm glad that you're doing well. I just wanted to let you know that you are the person who introduced me into and got me into cross stitch. I stumbled on your videos a few years ago and the rest is history. Glad to see that Rainy Waterloo and Old World Map II are still being worked on. Happy stitching!

So glad the big procedure went well & you are recovering. As a seamstress & quilter, I tend to not FRAME many pieces. I make a pillow (whatever size) OR I finish my piece like a quilt (esp if big) & hang up like a quilt. I like the idea of those frames with many ""slots" for different size pictures. I have lots of pieces that would coordinate into one of those, never thought of it before. Framing gets too expensive for me to do unless I do it myself. Mainly, my pieces are folded up in a bag or box in my closet. (FYI: been stitching since I was 14 & am going to be 76 this year). Good to check up with you again.

I have bought 10 plain plastic coasters that yoh can put pictures etc in, and I have put some of my small projects in, and they look really good on my table.

Great progress. I'm doing 2 full coverages, confetti heavy, 2 Mirabilias and a Prairie Schooler set of 10 little birdies. Glad you're healing well. I, if I don't chicken out, will be doing a total hip replacement. 😢

Loved the double matting on your framed piece. It looks terrific.
Also loved seeing your progress on Rainy Waterloo.
As for Old World Map 2? I’m also making it and if you could, I highly suggest you complete a page at a time. Those ninja stitches will drive you crazy if you continue to save them to the end.
You haven’t gotten to the light colored map area yet, and I can tell you from experience, the confetti stitching is something else. I almost stopped working on it. Happily, I’m closing in on the 200,000 stitches completed goal - this after restarting it after stitching over 100,000 stitches.
    Best wishes to you.

You restarted it after 100,000 stitches???!!! Holy cow!! My issue is lack of stitching discipline. :( I believe now that I'm using Pattern Keeper and I think I have all the floss colors, this should happen a lot less. :)

Confetti stitching, I hate confetti but it gives some really good subtle shading

Congrats on the beautiful Big Ben! I really like that monochromatic (?) cowboy behind you. Not enough good Western art in cross stitch.

Have you been in touch with Jim @ Needleworks Extravaganza NJ? I actually may go just to shop. It is about an hour away from me.
He also has "pop up" small shows throughout the year. I think he is mainly into dying linen. You sound stronger today....at 3 months, I was totally back. No pun intended. Be patient with yourself!!! April beekeeping help might be pushing it from your end!!!!

Just a thought, not every design needs to be framed. Maybe try flat folds, or small pillows or pin cushions. Glad your surgery went well.
