[Synopsis]
Because of a marriage selection, girls from all over the world gather in Xin Chuan. Yin Zheng, one of the six young masters of Xin Chuan, who keeps a low profile, and Li Wei, who just wants to work hard and not get selected, live comfortably in this hometown. I always hate those eunch type characters just because someone loves someone and does something good for them THAT DOESNT MEAN THAT PERSON HAS TO ACCEPT THEIR FEELINGS!!! It just reminds me so much of the “nice guy” sentiment where if they do anything nice that means that u must return the feelings or give them ur body now I don’t know if that is the lords intentions and sure I would be grateful for him doing that but again I would then equally yell at that eunch that just because he does all of this does not means I have to love him out of pity or gratefulness as that would be worse than me not loving him as it would be fake and then I would tell him to never speak to me like that again and I wish that they would stop doing this sort of trope as it teaches young women to think they have to give something for men to want them or to repay them ick
I agree with your point that doing something nice for someone doesn't mean that they have to be loved back. But I think the eunuch is frustrated with 6th for hiding his feelings because Li Wei actually has no idea that he likes her. She just assumes that her leaving would be for the better and hasn't even considered the idea that someone of her status could be loved by a prince. It's not that she doesn't like him or feels that she has to love him out of pity, she just didn't even think of her own feelings for him yet. The prince is clear that she shouldn't feel pressured after he confesses his love. It's quite refreshing to see how much he respects her decision and women's autonomy is a theme we see repeated in this drama.
While I see your point, this happens in episode 11. At this point they both have feelings for each other. Supervisor Su and her maids wants them together because they see the love that is growing.

@@dansedevie123 3 simple words changed the foggy energy between them when young lord said “I like you”. Then she knew there was more than official sentiment between them, so then she could reconsider her place in his world and the motivation for his kindness. He’s cool and stoic on the outside but very individual unique on the inside. Funny she’s the opposite, quirky on the outside, logical (yet warm) on the inside. Twins!
