Nice to see you and Graeme collaborating! Awesome video. I love how one can see the layers of rock tilted up and bent in waves. Think oh the forces that caused that to happen. Breath taking country side!
Just beautiful ! I have always been "into" rocks, and especially rock walls. Scotland seems like the place for me. What I wouldn't give to be poking around those beaches and caves ! Absolutely stunning video. Thank you so much for sharing your history with us. It's so nice to see brothers together, and sharing memories. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️☕️☕️🇨🇦
God, Scotland is absolutely stunning! Loved this video, nice collab AND doggies! I love them so much. ☺️ It's really fascinating to learn about the background of your careers too. And did I chortle like a small child when Graeme fell? Yes. Yes I did. Bless him. At least he didn't fall on one of the dogs 😂
Haha! Pleased to hear it! I didn't realise he'd fallen at all when I was talking. He's hilarious. He knew it was caught on camera. We laughed so much about about it. 😂
Oh James it's beautiful and nice to see the contrast between what you and Graeme chose to share. I especially love that you included his stumble and fall lol. Thank you for sharing your history and the beauty of the land.
@@jamesparkersculpture oh most definitely a purely professional journalistic standing full of integrity and ethical standards. The fact that it could and probably has embarrassed your little brother is just a bonus. I'm laughing as I write this thinking of the things I did to embarrass my younger sister over the years. You lads are doing mighty videos, loving the bits of history with your own personal stories added in. Any more shots of your daft brother falling down 🤪?.
So much inspiration all around you. Its easy to see how you've come to express your love of stone and water. Sorry Graeme took a tumble there. What a typical big brother to tease him. The land is so beautiful. The ocean, the view, spectacular! Thank you for the tour.
What a great Origins story; yours and your brothers. It is amazing to see the sparks of our lives. Beautiful scenery that matches both your lives; we are where we are from, and head out with great promise
Thank you Dana. I think about the Knock more with every passing year. I couldn't agree more with you. The people and the places leave there indelible mark. Thank you for watching.
Phew, that was stunning James. What an incredibly beautiful setting for your formative years that seem to have stuck with you and influenced your true talent, off to watch your brothers now. Thank you
Thank you Sharon. I wish we were still there sometimes. Breathtaking scenery and memories that will stay with us forever. Thanks for watching and commenting.
What a beautiful part of the world to grow up in. Such fabulous rock formations, cliffs and caves couldn’t fail to inspire you. Nature is the greatest sculptor. Gorgeous photography and music and great to see you and your brother reminiscing.
It's exciting to see stones that have been there for centuries...what a crevice and the shapes and colors of the stones. What a gift to grow up around! I know that your formative years were tough. But look how great men you have become.
So nice to see you together and sharing such beautiful scenery. I wouldn't leave if I lived there. Been trying for years to make the move. Getting closer 👍 The dry walls are the best natural way to sever land and sometimes a road map to another place. It's a shame your father passed so young. It shapes us into who we become I found. Thanks for the smile.
The two of you are so different, yet so much alike. I have 3 sisters, we all grew up together yet out memories & interpretations are so different. What stays in ones mind may not even be acknowledged by the other. It's great that the two of you are both happy & successful. Amazing how we are capable of changing with the passage of time. Much happiness to you & your families!
When I was a kid, we used to go on holiday to that part of Scotland, not far from where you filmed, Port William, love the scenery up there, am now dying of laughter seeing Graeme fall down lol
I can see what gave you the inspiration to be a sculpture, and what a beautiful coastline you had to grow up on. I found your channel thru Graeme and it is nice see you guys come together on this. Looking forward to more of your vids, and Graemes'.
One of my favorite videos. The beauty of the stacked stone walls of the British Isles have always moved deeply. And the county you show us stirs up a longing in me to be there in person. It''s a treat to see the comfortable love and life history of two brothers.
So beautiful! Hearing the history, awesome!! Great seeing you 2 together climbing that hill, running down one and just enjoying each others company and sharing memories ❤❤
Very cool .. like this seeing the area you grew up in, it’s amazing .... and interesting hearing how our ( your father) parents have influence on our ( you & Graeme ) life decisions as a whole. Enjoy seeing you and Graeme together! Funny how siblings remember different things from our childhood that influence our lives as adults..... another great video James 😏☝️😉👊
Beautiful landscape. The dry walls and layered rocks do remind me of your sculptures, James. Love seeing the landscape- am just exploring family ties with Scotland and Northern Ireland. Generations of hard working dairy farmers. Maybe that’s why I enjoy your posts too, Graeme. Beautiful clouds. Remind me of Tasmania’s. Used to stare at their changing shapes for hours. Think it helped me recognise the process of transformation often encoded into poetry. Then we got a tellie.
Thank you Mary! I guess the irony is that we all love to visit Florida. The more time that passes the more I love to reminisce about this incredible farm that I grew up on.
Beautiful video. I’m from New Hampshire, USA. The New England states (Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island) are known for their stone walls. New Hampshire is called the granite state for good reason. We say that we harvest earth potatoes (rocks) every spring with the frosts. I had the privilege to take a weekend stone wall building class at Canterbury Shaker Village. It rained but we still worked. It was very interesting and I got a few knocks on my knuckles.
77 views (78 with mine) and only 35 thumbs up! what is wrong with you people? That was a fastastic, flawless video, lovely scenery, good choice of music, well edited, etc.etc. Thank you James for the time you spent putting it together and uploading it for our pleasure. 100/100👍
Thank you James and Gram. It made me feel like I was closer to my roots. My great-great grandfather just might have seen with his own eyes what you have brought to me. Beautiful. Keep it coming. I follow all three of you guys. I know your Da would be proud
Thanks so much for sharing this video! What is it about stones that are so beautiful and adventurous feeling. So picturesque with the sea next door! I grew up on a small farm in the states and every spring the tractors would unearth enormous rocks that would sell for a pretty penny. It's a great connection to my childhood. No stone walls though!

Great vlog! Watched this and Graem’s back to back. Look forward to more from both of you. I’m going to Ireland this year and want to go to Scotland next!
been following your brother for a while and found the link to you. Know a bit of the history of the farm as explained by your brother. I am sure you are quite sad that it was lost. But i firmly believe stuff happens for a reason. And sometimes as difficult as certain losses are it takes you down a different path in life that is possibly much more rewarding than what could have been through what you lost. You and Graeme are truly gifted with special skills that add positively to those you come into contact with.
Hi! Yes - I think about more as the years pass and my own children have a different upbringing to the one Graeme and I and our other brothers and sisters enjoyed. I'm sure you're right... Wow. Those cliffs are your artwork! What amazing history. Fun to see the two of you together 😊 It’s inspiring to see you both move past those hills not being yours. It’s really nice you can go there♥️ We “lost” the family farm in Wisconsin. I still dream about living there and look at it on Google map. I don’t care that it’s not mine but I wish it was in the family.
Great to see brothers together. It’s always interesting how the passing of your dad, changed you own career paths. Does the family still own the land.?
Thanks Garry. Sadly not - my grandmother (who had a small share in the farm) decided to sell the farm. On her passing, inexplicably, the proceeds of the sale went to the other side of the family. We only have our memories.
Our local rocks tend to be very rounded from glaciation, similar to the rocks you have along the shore. I envy the nice flat rocks you have for stone walls. I've always loved stone walls, but they are not to be around here.
Hi Nancy, the stone changes very quickly here. Around ten miles away I've built a lot of walls with round granite boulders. The stone dictates the local style.
Ha ha ha absolutely loved this vid.u haven't done as much vids as ure brother but u're doing them better.love to see where u both got the inspiration for the lives u lead now.and can understand u're love of the slate.u both mention u're sisters what do they do with there lives?
Ha ha, not sure about that!!! He puts 3 videos out a week which is a lot of work.....There are 5 of us. Both of my sisters have families. One works in a school, the other in my mums coffee shop. She appears I'm at least one of Graeme' videos. My older brother Robert M G Parker is a writer and also works in fraud prevention.
This is a great video. I would love to live in Scotland, it’s so beautiful. Truly enjoyed listening to you two together. The music on here is amazing by the way. Who is the singer? Have a great week…
Wow, that was just stunning, the music, the photograpy, the two brothers and the dogs, so very special, thank you so much
Thank you Christine. It's great to get such positive reactions.

You were really within the ribs of the hill!very touching, and probably a bit difficult to be back there after losing this wonderful place
It really feels like it. Incredible place! Mixed emotion.... mainly a kind of nostalgic contentment. I'd love to have the Knock back in the family....
Nice video...looks like a great place to grow up! Sorry to hear about your dad....
Thanks Wally
Hi James I like to thank you for your videos are really enjoy them and shout out to the hoof GP for giving me the heads up
My pleasure Michelle. Glad you enjoyed the video.
Your Dad would be proud!
Thank you Stephen, like anyone who has lost someone so close - I do hope that that would be the case. Good of you to say so!
Очень красиво !!!!
Watched your brother from the beginning. Can you post a pick of a map showing where you were. Rick from Nashville.
Will fo Rick! I'll sort that out soon.
Beautiful place mate. Stunning. Amazing place to grow up in. Graeme didn't show his fall in his video lol 🤣 . Maybe he needs to trim his feet.
😂Thank you!
This is a great video. I would love to live in Scotland, it’s so beautiful. Truly enjoyed listening to you two together. The music on here is amazing by the way. Who is the singer? Have a great week…
