I take hospitality and yayi it’s intense, the theory is crazy but my love for the subject makes everything better. What pisses me is that people under estimate the subject 😪, we work there guys. I take Life science and Hospitality so I’m off to culinary school 🤝🤝🔪🔪
Heyy Guys!! thank you so much for this video, I'm strongly considering Culinary after high school, what subjects does one need to inorder to qualify for the course you are doing?❤️
Yho I don’t do hospitality 😭I chose the science subjects ,because I always wanted to do medicine or go to a culinary school..but now I’m out of love for Math and Physics it’s horror in there😂🙆🏽♀️so can I qualify in culinary school ,if yes which report card should I apply with?
Hi, which culinary school would you recommend. The best public culinary school please I have researched but I only found private ones and the fees are expensive.
I can only recommend the one that I went to, Institute of Culinary arts. Most culinary schools are expensive, also because they are private institutions.
Ah. I hope she eventually agrees to it. We go from Monday to Friday. We have theory classes on Mondays, and practicals from Tuesday to Friday. We have 7 other subjects we do as well, so it’s not only cooking. I hope this will convince her.
Hey babes my name is pricilla, and I wanted to ask.... I just realized that some time last year that I want to become a chef I didn't study accounting and hospitality at school do u think I will manage bcos I really like cooking
So we don’t work with semesters. In 2nd and 3rd year we have a lot of work phases (industry placement) and academic blocks in between. 1st year, you spend a lot of the time on campus. We also don’t have much holidays as well lol. Its a very hands-on industry.
Which high school subjects are they actually focusing on because I have Life sciences and consumer studies and what is the recommended pass mark at ICA??
So its advised to apply in matric, I only applied a few weeks before the academic block started, so I was lucky. But I wouldn’t advise you to do that. I do know some people who applied when they were in grade 11

Hi, which culinary school would you recommend. The best public culinary school please I have researched but I only found private ones and the fees are expensive.
Heeyyy..did you manage to find any affordable culinary school
I can only recommend the one that I went to, Institute of Culinary arts. Most culinary schools are expensive, also because they are private institutions.
Do your guardians have to pay the fees or does the school offer bursaries/scholarships if you can't afford it?
Yes your parents/guardians have to pay the school fees. The school doesn’t offer bursaries/scholarships. You’ll have to find independent sponsors.
@@AnyasatuDid your parents have money to actually pay your fees or did you take a student loan.
@@Carolmiya7173 yes my parents paid the school fees. I’m sure payment arrangements can be discussed.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂for those of us chilling at the back 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
for y'all that can't hear haha
When applying for accommodation in culinary school do have a choice of not wanting to have a roommate or not??
Its up to you. There’s no accommodation on campus for a lot of culinary schools i know. So with accommodation, you’ll have to find that on your own
I so wanna go to ICA..but my mom, shes just not with it.
How many days do you go in a week?
Hi :) yes you will manage - as long as you have a matric certificate.

How is ICA ??
ICA is a good school. I would recommend it.
Which high school subjects are they actually focusing on because I have Life sciences and consumer studies and what is the recommended pass mark at ICA??
Im not too sure which subjects they focus on. You can reach out to them so that they can give you the breakdown.
When applying in culinary school do apply during your matric year or do u apply in your grade 11 year or after you finish your matric??
So its advised to apply in matric, I only applied a few weeks before the academic block started, so I was lucky. But I wouldn’t advise you to do that.
I do know some people who applied when they were in grade 11
So as a grade 11 student is it best for me to apply this year??
You can apply this year.

Mukbangs are way harder than you think 😂
What are the requirements for qualifying in a culinary school
Matric certificate. But the interviews are quite extensive; they ask a lot of questions about your personality and capabilities.
