Can y’all just imagine how grown this song was for them. These are like 14/15 year olds! 9th graders. Back in the 90s they did this a lot to be honest…and I sang this song at the top of my lung but I kinda knew I wasn’t supposed to. Lemisha was supposed to have her own career and handpicked to be a solo star but she didn’t want to leave Irish. She chose her sister over her own solo career. So when you see this and see Lemisha and not 702 (because her twin sisters were on this song too) - just know she didn’t want to have a career without Irish. My heart goes out to Misha. We love Irish 🕊 We love you too Orish.

Except for a few producers who wrote songs for her to do some leads being she could also sing. Irish could sing too, her voice wasn’t as strong but nothing a vocal coach couldn’t bring out because it was the confidence.

It comes down to a group having a signature sound. She could always sing but of the girls her sounds wasn't as distinct. Same goes for T-Boz, Kandi Burruss, Nicole Scherzinger and other leads in girl groups. You have to have an anchoring sound.

What started out as four sister siblings dreams became about what was easily sellable. The stress of that upon the family and within the group is now clearly understandable. They haven't had to use their voices in a professional manner in years. Longs periods of not training, smoking (assuming they do) etc. can cause a singer to struggle. Vocal cords are just like any other muscle, you have to regularly train and exercise them.
