Great strat! Only thing I'd change up is that if maxing regieleki is your play, you should absolutely be running rising voltage over t-bolt. I was wondering if you should run rising voltage instead of thunderbolt, because after the dynamax its stronger because of terrain and when you dont dynamax you mostly use volt switch anyway
Tbh the thumbnail had me fooled into thinking Regishock (idk why thats NOT its name) could learn Soak, but I already use Water types to support Regishock so that just gives me move slots for Protect, Ancient Power, and Hyper Beam anyway lol
The theme song of Sonic SatAM describes Regieleki more accurately than it has any reason to. Not only is Regieleki the fastest thing alive. Not only does Regieleki have an attitude, with it hopping around. Not only does it _literally_ storm through, you know like a thunderstorm. But the line "don't doubt what he can do" fits Regieleki perfectly. Everyone looked at its movepool and those mediocre 100 offenses and thought "lol there's no way this Pokemon will be good" but with its speed and Transistor, Regieleki turned out to be terrifying.
Since using Soak and finding all sorts of ways to utilise it, I've fallen in love with similar moves like Hatterene move that changes type to just Psychic or Gourgeist and Trevenant adding Ghost and Grass respectively. I'd love to see more of these. Imagine a move that adds steel type? Might be too overpowered. Or maybe a move that adds poison type (which is a good anti toxic move to use). Soak is a great move to add to a teammate too (especially shedinja), since it could be used on a mon with ability sap sipper/lightning rod
Regieleki is also good as an annoyance Pokemon with the moveset of protect, bounce, thunderbolt and substitute. Give it some bulk to take attacks that don’t break sub first turn it’s hit and a leftovers to continually gain health. Regieleki seems to make that set work well too.
Hey Foo! Love your content, good job man 👍🏻 Just one thing: when Kartana used Sacred Sword against yours, it didn't survive because of the defense boosts since the move ignores such boosts in opposing Pokémon, but I believe because its attack was lowered with Intimidate from your Incin that same turn. Keep the good work up man 👍🏻
Defensive soak is fun~ I used a clutch soak to make my primarina mono water so she could survive a final iron head from an excadrill, and then fire hose him~
One way to vastly improve this set. Swap out Thunderbolt for Rising Voltage. Since you always Dynamax the Regieleki early (at least in this battle) you can count on Electric Terrain (plus it actually gives you a slightly stronger Max Lightning). It would mean you have to finish the battle fast though, but this is a hyper offense team, and if you bring Kartana as well I can see it working. Or you could really go all in on Regieleki and bring a Pincurchin/Tapu Koko to put the terrain back up/set it up with Terrain Extender. If you are worried about the terrain, maybe drop Electroweb instead (I'm guessing that's for speed control on fast scarfers/boosters, so it's somewhat situational, and you never used it here). Opposing Terrain setters could become a problem though.
I've actually thought about these specific strategies before, but I wasn't given a good opportunity to make them work, nor was I able to make good teams for these sets. I'm so glad another person noticed the huge potential that Regieleki has. Literally my favorite Pokémon
I've been using Electro-Ball Regieleki with Koko and a few tailwind users to pretty great effect in Doubles. Definitely not able to solo teams without backup, but most aren't ready for it late game.

not related at all but do you see any hopes for Altaria in this game? I love it so much but without the mega and the current competition I don't really know how to work it out
Fire Spin + Perish Song could be a fun perish trap combination
@@foofootoo oooh that's kinda evil for such a fluffy thing, I will try that out for sure! Thank you! Love your content!
@@foofootoo can Altaria learn Fire Spin? Bulbapedia shows that it can't 😶
@@Kristalya Nope, a teammate will have to use it then Taria can sing it’s heart out.
Me: *Uses Mimikyu in a Double battle*
Opponent: *Has this god*
My mimikyu that's supposed to have faster speed stats:
*VOLT SWITCH*
*SWEATING PREFOUSLY*
Mimikyu: *Oh no- Anyways-..."
Why not Regishock? Maybe because its to obvious?
Things I learned from this video: Thunder > Thunderbolt
Only when used as a base move for Dynamax (or Z-moves in Gen 7).
You hit a focus miss, absolutely beautiful
Keep the good work up man 👍🏻
Defensive soak is fun~
I used a clutch soak to make my primarina mono water so she could survive a final iron head from an excadrill, and then fire hose him~
I love foo's videos and his techs. A lot of the more popular poketubers like to take his ideas and say they came up with it. Noticed that alot.
Ohm my God. Hah because Ohms is the unit of measurement for electrical output.
That reverse trick room blew my mind
17:28 “Landorus is now very weak to water tule moves...”
...Wut?
The Landorus got type changed by Intelon's Soak
@@DietSeltzer So why would a water type be very weak to water moves then?
@@RanEncounter Inteleon use soak! oh shit! landorus is soaked in water! regieleki use a electric move! lando ded

thank you for saying these things to my sons IM SO PROUD!
Regieleki DESTROYS Ground Types. me: go home your drunk
Man regieleki is my favorite pokemon now because speed and electro ball is crazy damage and I love his design
I've actually thought about these specific strategies before, but I wasn't given a good opportunity to make them
work, nor was I able to make good teams for these sets. I'm so glad another person noticed the huge potential that Regieleki has. Literally my favorite Pokémon
I like this idea w Kartana, I think slapping a leftovers w g. surge would help w quick hp recovery incase of stall :P
Would love to see 2 wiggly good bois team up.
I'm talking about Xurkitree and Regieleki.
Foofootoo:Regieleki annihilates Landorus
Me: Nothing isn't what it was until today, we live in a world that will always change
Fastest Pokemon in the entire game is an electric type that can learn Soak... Damn, boi's broken af.
It doesn't learn soak
@@bankrollrastaman7060 Yes, my bad. I misspoke and meant to imply a Soak team, sorry. It was late when I posted that, lol.
@avapikachoo 2 months later? Nah man, I've moved on.
@avapikachoo I just respond via the dropdown alerts, honestly, lol. It's not a big deal anyway. Regieleki is still OP with Soak.
Maybe you can showcase a trick room set with an electric surge pincurchin with rising voltage and possibly choice specs?
I've been using Electro-Ball Regieleki with Koko and a few tailwind users to pretty great effect in Doubles. Definitely not able to solo teams without backup, but most aren't ready for it late game.
Me on the start of the video:Wait, how?
Me looking at the thumbnail:Nvm,he is using Soak
Regielecki destroys ground types
I got click aired it actually destroyed water types bec of soak
Ok tbh this was really satisfying
Thank you for the vids ^-^ , they are helping me get ideas on what i wanna do for the vgc, cuz im not too good at doubles format
Plus using Switcheroo on the Landorus removed its Choice Scarf, thus slowing it down. (Although I don't know whether it mattered in this case.)
SURPRISED?! A Regieleki video?! I’M INTERESTED!
Lol I thought regieleki could learn Soak
XD
