I just purchased a device that allows you to double aerate the wine , first from the bottle into the decanter through the aerator and then flip it over and drain the decanter into the bottle and I could not believe what huge difference this made with a bottle of Tacana ,2019, Malbec , I had drank at least 10 bottles without this process and the wine had never tasted this good before , not even close ! I do wish that I had known about this years ago and will never drink a red wine again without doing this and it only took maybe 3 minutes and yes it was chilled in the fridge first !

Fridge is 2-4c (something like 36-40f), thats a shock to wine. Pour cold water into bucket and put wine in, tap water is around 50-54f.

So you would let it breathe first and then put it in the fridge?

You might want to chill first and then let it breathe to get the full effect if it's an unopened bottle. However, if you already have an open red, you can keep it a couple of days in the fridge and it will slow down the oxidation process so you can enjoy it longer!
