    Fun Fact : Halo Reach, Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3 all take place in the last year of the war.
    For most of the war spartans didnt have energy shields and MK4 only doubles their strength.
    MK5 is when they got energy shields and was only in service for a few months until it was replace by MK6.
    Which improved their shields and increased the Spartans strength by 5 times

    The world in Babysitter may have initially been Forerunner by Bungie’s design, but has since been recast as an Ancient Human world, hence the mixes of human architecture and symbolism.
    The most notable feature to those not keenly aware of the varieties of architecture, such as myself, are the Japanese style pagoda.
    It is presumably for this feature that the planet was named “Heian,” after the Heian Era of Japan.

The suit shown was one of two prototypes for the spartan armor, however due to the prototype being lost and the fact it was a massive glass cannon the mjolnir was chosen. So, the Odd One Out is the only one of the batch that *_isn't_* canon, literally making it the "odd one out" of the 7 episodes.
    That being said, they didn't throw any & all respect of the lore to the wind. As you guys suspected, those two kids fighting alongside 1337 were in fact Spartans. The "bird headed pirates" that Mama fought off were Jackals.
    Essentially, that frigate (which I don't believe has an official designation), was attacked & boarded by the Covenant. They took a random Slipspace jump as per procedure, & crash landed on the planet "Cronky" as the Covenant call it. (Probably isn't spelt like that, but whatever)
    "Mama" was in fact the onboard "Dumb" A.I. for the vessel, & they had *_recently_* augmented Spartan II test subjects on board. Mama used the system defences to fend off the remaining Covenant forces & then decided to take care of these children, as the frigate was damaged beyond any hope of repair.
    Also, TOEI animations had been contacted to make this episode, which is why it's literally Dragon Ball Z with Halo characters lol

    • @TheJAMLads
      @TheJAMLads  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I really like how the studio was able to still use parts of Halo canon but just adapt it a little so it fit the story they were telling. By not being stuck to the lore they had such a fun time making this episode

    • @CaptainCFalcon
      @CaptainCFalcon ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@TheJAMLads exactly. It wasn't like "the lore doesn't matter" it was just like "the lore isn't all THAT important this time around."
      Oh also, Pluton wasn't a Brute or whatever, they were a genetically engineered creation of the Covenant to potentially overpower the Master Chief. So he's not any specific species, he's just Pluton lol.

    • @TheJAMLads
      @TheJAMLads  ปีที่แล้ว +3

    The reason ancient human and forerunner structures overlap is because ancient humans and forerunners had a war and the forerunners won and turned humans back into monke. They then turned the human planet erde tyranis into a nature preserve for humans. So yeah. It's the same reason why American architecture is in the middle east.

      @The JAM Lads most people don't like the 4runners and it sours their view of them in the books. I get that. Fortunately, I read the books before playing 4 and the Ur' didact is a shadow of what he used to be. They're pretty cool. A little OP, but cool. It's basically the prometheans' fault. People weren't prepared for how boring they were to fight and the Ur 'Didact went out like a bitch (he didn't even die).
