Some people cut them but I was able to get mine to fit without cutting it on 3 ada heads now! My assumption was if it came that way from the factory it should go in that way. To each their own.
@toomanytoystv yep! I think blowsion even tells you to cut it. I got a new girdled head for my blaster and I will try it without cutting. My non girdled head there was just alot of extra oring like it was to big
If you want go to my “Yamaha 701 61X / 62T engine assembly for my 1994 SN Superjet” video and fast forward to 33:40 and you can watch me install it and struggle lol. I talk about how I do and and somewhat am able to show it
Just don't use 1211 on your cylinder base. They are machined perfectly flat. Just use the supplied gasket. More than enough to seal the base of cylinder. 1211 can actually make your cylinders sit uneven. Cheers!
I cut my oring on my ada head amd glued it. It's been holding for year's

@@jeffbryner5355 just don’t stretch it. Keep pushing back from where you just laid the oring down

@@toomanytoystv ok thanks man!! Lol
Super informative and detailed video, I’m getting started on a 62t stock rebuild and this will help tremendously. Thank you
No problem, hope the build goes well!

@@StefanMailey I’ve always done it as an extra just so I don’t worry about any leaks but good to know!

Any reason a 62t botto end matched with 61x? Is ths the best combo?
@@bryanf6210 from what I’ve heard. They call them the “Frankenstein motors”. The 61x top end has better ports then the 62t
Like I said tho, all hearsay that I’m just going along with
@@toomanytoystv thanks man! Anything you hear about why 62t bottom end?
