I once had an issue with a tattoo getting infected but it was because I had an allergic reaction to the red ink. From the first walk in to this guys place she should have just left. This sucks.

I wondered how her tattoos went. It kind of look like there was a bit of a community vibe in some of the supplies in any little video clips, I’ve seen online I’ve been getting tattooed for so long that back in the day, everything had to be straight from the autoclave. Tattoo artist would make their own needles and soldered the needles onto the bars in their configurations of choice, they would be reused on different clients, but only after they had been sterilized in hospital, grade sterilization equipment and packaged in sterile packaging before being reused to get on someone else, I remember telling the artist I just wanted to close my eyes cause the needles grossed me out a bit. He said I could close my eyes after witness him opening all the sterile packaging first. Very 1990s.
It was definitely a community thing going on! And honestly, it’s not the best tattoo I’ve gotten but it is one of my favorites. Sometimes, the story is greater than the tattoo! And that is the most beautiful thing about tattoos. Your story sounds terrifying but very true to the ‘90s 😅

Loved your video!! As a tattoo collector I agree there were so many red flags but ultimately it was the artist’s fault that this happened and not the client. I wish they would have revealed who the artist was so we all know who to avoid!!
I would like to add a zeroeth rule. When on the day of the tattoo you get to their studio and something feels off just GTFO, hunches are more often than not right and even though you really REALLY want a tattoo if you get "the" feeling, just leave. You'll have a patch of skin you can cover at any date, you have money in your pocket and your health. Tattoo artist do not have the right of doing whatever they want, you can always leave and go to another one.

I had 80% sleeve tattoo done in one session , few days later my arm started to have little break out , so I thought it was the ointment I was using, being typical man I thought , nah it’ll get better soon, only couple days later these pimples swelled up and woke up with what looked like golf ball’s under my skin , go to the doctor and told him My tattoo artist is extremely clean so surely it wasn’t from that , and turns out after I shaved my arm for the tattoo I ended up getting a hair follicle infection called Folliculitis , and when I was spread the ointment all over my arm I was also spreading that infection all over my arm 🤦🏻♂️ long story longer , became staff ended up having BAD allergic reaction to antibiotics and spent 3 days in the hospital, had to go to physical therapy for 6 weeks because they had to clean out what looked like bullet holes all over my arm , had to stuff gauze in the holes and leave little string of it sticking out of the holes because the wounds had to heal from inside out , all from shaving my arm 🤦🏻♂️
@@ash-is-napping nope not at all , it was crazy cause all that infection was only in areas that didn’t have any ink yet , and the entire area with fresh ink didn’t get infected at all, fresh tattoo is just like an open wound so I was mind blown that none of it got on the tattoo , it left a little bit of scarring on other areas but nothing that stopped me from finishing out the whole sleeve 🤘🏻😝🤘🏻
