Capital of the Badger State | Madison, WI

Our final state of the Frontier Americana Tour, the great state of Wisconsin! Here in the upper midwest, we find a generally amicable and welcoming environment with varying hues of cultural interest. Its capital city exemplifies this by combining an assortment of positive attributes which one might appreciate in an urban atmosphere. Holding the title as one of only two American cities which sit on an isthmus, Madison's location provides a unique backdrop to enjoy a day; natural beauty is never too far away to cherish. For the insatiably knowledge-hungry traveler who's racked up quite the informational arsenal, the numerous quirks and easter eggs of historical, geographic or cultural relevance dotted along these surroundings are sure to create some memorable "a-ha" moments if you're in the know. I personally ascribe Madison as one of the most well-rounded capital cities, owing in reasonable part to the many varied groups of people who call this Wisconsinite hub a home. Holding prominence in the state's governmental, educational, manufacturing and agricultural sectors, there's no question why so many are flocking to Wisconsin's fastest growing city. Let's celebrate our arrival into the Coverage Project's 43rd state, as we dissect the greatness of one of its prime conurbations.
