Make a sample of the pattern with cords of known length. After you finish the pattern measure the remaining length of all cords. Plan your final design and use cords with a bit more than the calculated necessary. Cords in sample and final work should be the same type 😉

How long did that take to make from beginning to end? It is beautiful. Wondering how to make a bedspread, can the panels be stitched together or does it need to be one whole panel for the bedspread? Just wondering.
This size took about 3-4 hours..for bedspread I don't know / will be a lot of work :))
It would cost an absolute fortune to make a bedspread. Totally impractical IMO. 🤣🤣🙏🙏

Salve, io la seguo dall'Italia, qu sono in pochi a utilizzare questo meraviglioso metodo di lavoro; anch'io l'ho scoperto da poco ma me ne sono innamorata. Fin' ora ho fatto tanti porta vasi d'abbellire il mio balcone ora vorrei provare a fare queste tovagliette che sono bellissime. Avrei dei consigli da chiederle, vorrei farne alcune con un filato piatto da 3 mm di larghezza, 1) per avere un lavoro finito da 40x60 cm quanti fili devo utilizzare e che lunghezza 2) non amo le frange, come posso fare per iniziare e finire il lavoro senza farle ? La ringrazio infinitamente se avesse la gentilezza di aiutarmi a procedere in questo mondo del macramè.

If I want to make a rug, how many cord should I need? How long is the cord? I want to make the size around 40 x 60 cm. Thanks. Because I don't know how to prepare.
From my experience working with different cords for a rug you would want 4-5 mm cord to get good thickness. Width you could determine by measuring across your cords to figure out how many you need to hang. A general rule of thumb is making length 7-8 x as long as you want your finished product.

I tried it and the pattern was bigger therefore less of it. I've also ran out of string in the middle and had to improvise..

One thing I do not like about these tutorials the person that is doing the tutorial uses time lapse and assumes that a beginner will know how to get to the end result. The design is beautiful I have not yet found a tutorial that is step-by-step.
