So cool the way you explained both of them 😅! It seems like you work for Franklin 😆, if not I'm pretty sure that if you loose your job, call "him" ; I'll be more then happy to have you in his team because you are 100 times more interesting and brilliant then the publicity from the Cie ! 🤩
Also thought it might be worth mentioning that there is a new revision of this M210 out - i just got one early this AM and the key difference is that it throws up a green LED sensor on the true-center of the stud which is a nice feature. - I just spoke to customer service @ Franklin Sensors to confirm as it's apparently only listed in the tiny print in the documentation that nobody ever reads.
I ordered this from amazon thinking it would have the green LED to show the true center. Especially with only 3 sensors to show a stud it's really difficult to tell the true center without the green LED.
So my franklin sensor has 6 sensors. When used in bathroom, for some reason it seems to be picking up a ‘stud’ that I happen to know is actually a water line. Imagine someone drilling into that thinking it was a stud. It even picked up ‘studs’ in the garage so I drilled into it only to find drywall (no stud). Turned out what it picked up was a wooden handrail clear on the other side of the wall, inside the house. Idk. I own 3 stud finders ranging from $30 to $90 and I gotta say, they all do some weird shit lol.
It’s impossible for stud finders to be “perfect”. These are the best in our opinion because they pick up the most data with their additional sensors/technology. There are many situations where you need to use additional knowledge and info to confirm studs. I.e.) 16” centers between readings, thickness of the reading, proximity to outlet boxes (which typically have a stud on one of their sides). All that said, we see your point and we’re sorry you found it frustrating👍
Decent video. I'd show people how to correctly read the yellow lighting that appears on both the little semi-circle and on the main LED track. Thank you and Happy Christmas Season 🎶🌲🕊🕯🎅🎶🔔
not sure if anyone else mentioned this already but you don't take the battery cover off to access the pencil - there is a cutout spot on outside - bottom right where you can slide it out with your finger.
hmm 🤔, there really isn't anything to ‘figure out’ with these (thats part of what we love about them). It really should be as simple as holding the device to the wall and pressing the button- so if that’s not working perhaps you have a defective unit. Try contacting Franklin Sensors directly, I’m sure they’ll take care of any issues you’ve got 👍
@@RefreshHomeImprovements 8 seconds into the video, you can see the pencil is visible from the outside. Use your finger to push in to create some sort of grip and slide the pencil out.
I like how you didn’t specify that you were paid by Franklin to make this “review” and then used the world’s smallest mock wall to make it as easy as possible for the stud finder to be accurate instead of using the actual giant walls behind you. Oh wait, that seems to be sarcasm. Get out of here with this garbage TH-camr fake review.
We find they work better than every other stud finder we’ve used when it comes to thick walls/walls with insulation etc. (Specifically the M210 and the X2100), and yes they have models that not only detect the presence of a live wire, but some that have a live wire meter that illuminates in sequence as the electrical signal strength increases. Their website has a great section that helps you filter and choose the best stud finder for your needs: franklinsensors.com/products/?wpf_fbv=1&wpf_filter_live-electrical-warning=live-electrical-warning%7Clive-wire-meter 👍
Thank you for the instruction/how to video. Good stuff. Straight and to the point without telling me your life story and wasting my time.
Really enjoy your humour and educational content. Thank you for both🙏
Our pleasure!
Because of your review, I'll buy the M210. Thanks!
Nice! You’ll LOVE it!
How you like it?
Very useful, thank you. Purchased the smaller version. Your video was much easier to understand than the instructions that came with the unit.
That’s awesome to hear! Thanks for the feedback 👍
Love those Stud finders!
Us too!
This really is the best video on this device.
This tool is excellent. I am so pleased I bought one. I have the X995.
They really make the best stud finders👍

You’re too nice! Thank you so much!
i have the m70. Works great so far.
It’s an awesome tool!
I have the same one. Now I’m confused. Is two better than one?
How well does these work on plaster and lath walls??
Extremely well, it can read up to 1.7” in depth

Will it’s also detect a pipe?
will the 210 work over plaster/lathe?
For sure it will👍
Great video! VERY helpful. thank you!
Glad it was helpful!

Glad you liked it, kinda!

We realized that right after posting the video 😂👍
How come you don't share a link so they can give you a percentage?
Appreciate you looking out for us- but don’t worry, they take good care of us 😉.
Looks good- I was expecting the 210 to be a $150+ device
Great tools for great prices👍
I have the m210 and can't figure it out. I just got a single red flashing light on the most lateral right sensor light

Is this a paid advertisement?
We asked to create promotional content for them because we love their stuff👍
@@RefreshHomeImprovementsSo in short yes.
magnet is the best stud finder

Don’t fall for this guys paid advertising. It’s not the best
Sorry you feel that way, what stud finder do you like better than these?
@@RefreshHomeImprovements you didn't deny it's paid advertising lmao
