Rolls eyes! Sorry you have to deal with parents who are so disassociated from their childhood to have forgotten how fun it was to playact and do makebelieve, even if you knew it was play. I would not last long there, as I am so "forgetful" I would just keep being me. Several times I got told not to stoop to the level of a bad behaving child, and almost lost my job over one incident that was totally harmless, but it worked magic and stopped the offending behavior, no one else had managed to change, mind you this was a young lady with the mind of a 2 year old. But I absolutely love your Daisy Mae/May she is so cute and cheerful.
Please load up more videos, not just box openings. 😅With regard to the "shy" comment I think it was more of using words to match the desired behavior. Children understand the connection between handling a toy or object based on its function and structure. Plus 5 and 6 year olds still have magical thinking - they are likely to connect the word shy to a behavior they have seen and was told by an adult was an act of shyness.
