@@fishycomics I went to Jiffy Lube to have my oil changed, after opening the glove box and pulling and inspecting my cabin filter, they said they didn't have it in stock. So after getting home, I figured I'd pull it and use my compressor to blow it off until I could get a replacement. When I got home, I searched for vids on how to access the filter. Thanks to your video, I knew where to put the slow closer arm back to (that they didn't reconnect) and that they hadn't replaced the actual plastic filter cover, it was wedged down underneath the glove box door! Great video! They were going to charge me $50 at the dealership to change my filter today. Instead I bought a filter for $10 at advanced auto and found your video! Thank you so much!
just changed my cabin air filter on my wife's 2017 Honda CRV. Followed your instruction and took me about 4 minutes. The filter costs $13.00 and Honda dealership would charge me at least $45.
Excellent easy to understand video, I just replaced mine after a couple years of not doing it. I noticed that arrow pointing up and thought it was for the direction of flow, then I noticed right behind the bracket below that cover is the arrow pointing down on the housing, completely buried, Why Honda Whiiieee!!
Thank you, my friend, for enlightening me in the ways of my CR-V. I owe you one. Maybe I'll be your uncle some day (something my grand-pa used to say to me as a kid).
Nice job, thanks. Honda has been hiding cabin air filters behind the glove box for a long time! At least since 2004, I don’t remember (likely never changed it) in the 1996 Accord...
Well done, good presentation speed and appreciate the double / repeat videos of each step; I wish my old 2012 Ford Fusion had a video like this as it had a string system clip thing going on that was always a huge pain for me 😂

@peace & Love thank you, I have simply gone to Amazon checked for my car a filter, this seems to be a great deal if asked amzn.to/38s67dk. Please double check before ordering, For me I should change out now (spring), and do it in the fall, as that is my best advice, does not make a difference who youget, check the filter clean it and you cn continue to use it till you get a new one hope that helps out
Very nice job. I would caution that the “part number” you mentioned on the front of the filter is NOT the Honda part number. The actual Honda OEM part number is 80291-T5R-A01.
Looked at your channel, how about adding a brake fluid flush tutorial? Didn't see it there. I paid to have it done at the dealership and it seems like I could do it myself easily enough...

@@fishycomics There is some artificial intelligence built into the MM system that analyzes driving habits and other conditions to determine maintenance intervals. I swear the car knew when the warranty was up because it wasn't a week after when I got the oil change notice.
Hi thank you for helping with this video. when I changed mine today I could see a lot of flying fluff inside the housing like insulation stuff. What bothered me is that it was very loose and flying around. Is this normal the car is 1 year old. Thanks mate
My Honda dealer was going to replace this and the engine air filter today for the low, low price of $115. Even as the world's worst handyman I just couldn't pay that. Hence, I am here in preparation to do it myself. Thanks for the good explanation. Also, why doesn't your sleeve connect to your shirt? Just wondering.
so help me on this... what exactly does the cabin filter do? filters the outside air into the cabin is my guess. all my 20+ years of driving i have never touched them before.
Correct it is a filter like your house air conditioner. the Outside air is circulated through the outside vent, while the heat or ac is circulating through the inside blower. If it gets clogged it just makes it harder to get the air ,and may even cause the air to smell stale. I do check mine every spring and fall. you may never know what goes in there. or lays on it. totally agree I got a 91 corolla never ever looked at thank you for your question, hoped it was satasfactory, to your liking
Just left my Honda dealer for oil & filter change. Suggested change my cabin air filter for only $63.95. So I figure the mechanic who does this several times a week can do the change in 3 minutes, and the filter cost them less than $10. Seems a bit of gouging. Gave me an estimate for suggested Honda maintenance for $2211.80, are you kidding me, I got a Honda because they are bullet proof!!
