I just tried out this bag on the weekend. My honest thought the bag is quite challenging to close
km_au scratches on the closure will annoy me so much.
km_au yes, but you get the hang of it. Plus , once you get over the scratches or scratching it, it’s ok too. Lol

First, Totoro 😍. Second, the mod shots were helpful. The bag looks classy paired with a little black dress, despite it being colored blue! Also, love the versatility because it will also pair well with jeans. Great buy! 😀 Thanks for the review! P.S. I didn’t know that the Celine boxed bag fits a lot :)

You always have the best reviews Kat! Have you considered to spray the bag with a fabric protector ? Maybe try it on a small corner of the bag first? I had a Dior pouch with this design and fabric. In the end I sold it as I found the fabric very stiff and the pouch was not that practical however this bag looks great on you! Enjoy !!

Kat L sorry unfortunately I have no expertise on Dior fabrics - you may need to do some research - I’d imagine their tote bags would have the same issues too and maybe someone else has braved to spray their fabric bag!!

Hi Kat! I came across your video when I was searching for the Dior 30 Montaigne bag. I can't seem to find any reviews on the 30 MONTAIGNE JACQUARD CANVAS BOX BAG (its the smaller version of yours). I'm undecided between the two sizes. I really like the look and feel of the smaller bag, its so cute plus I only carry my phone, card, and a lip balm most of the time. The only thing I'm mulling over is if I pay a little bit more, I get a bigger bag. Ahhh I keep going back and forth between the two sizes. HELPPPP! You mentioned in your other video that you hardly use this bag, what's your view now? Hope you're well and lots of love
hi babe, sounds like you already know the answer! don't get trapped into the "over is if I pay a little bit more, I get a bigger bag" feeling - i have done it many times and regretted my decision. Go for the bag that suits your lifestyle, needs and of course, go for the bag that make feel happy

You can spray your bag with fabric and leather protector to make it more stain and water resistant

Thank you for the thorough review! I know you stated that you have not had the 👜 that long, but your initial review was still packed with good information. It’s a beautiful bag, but the clasp isn’t something I want to fiddle with at this time in my life as a new mom. I hope I can find this bag on the preloaded market later 👋🏼

I agree that it's not cheap...definitely on the steeper side, but it is quite well made. It's hard to say how the resale value is or if this bag is going to be a forever bag, but it has a lot of good things going for it.
@@KatL if it is in the 3000 range, i will buy it for sure hahahah.. some brands like ysl n fendi designs are more intricate n more reasonably priced ( relatively cos all luxury stuff r EXPENSIVE) I dont see dior as 'chanel pricing' but damn.. it is priced like one!
Hi Kat! Your reviews are so thorough and very helpful. I’m going to be looking at that bag and see if it’ll go on my extremely long wishlist. Lol. Anyway, are you able to completely remove the strap and use it as a clutch? Also, do you foresee considerable wear and tear on the leather strap as it is manipulated through the metal rings/hoops? gix2lee yes , can remove completely,..I was just lazy to do it lol. I do plan to monitor the wear n tear of the strap , it is something I am also concern about with more use.

I am curious about how do you feel about collecting all these bags? As my own bag collection grows, I sometimes feel guilty that I’m cheating on the bags I already have?
Don’t get me wrong, I love an unique bag now and then especially when it’s a collaboration like LV X Takashi Murakami Cerises collection and would be more than willing to add them to my bag family but then seeing that you have the queen of all bags, a Birkin and many beautiful Chanel bags, how do you feel???
Will there ever come a time when you will be done with your own bag family? It’s so hard! 😆
that's a very good question - i do feel 'guilty' like my older babies are being left out. And i"m really bad about rotating my bags. I try to do it more now but sometimes I'm also really lazy. I hope there will be a time i will be done with my bag family but i know that will never happen haha

My issues with the full leather that's its smooth and might scratch easily, I was set on the oblique n after your review I have doubts 😭 but I love the bag

Thanks Kat for sharing a review of this very beautiful bag 🤩🤤 I have been 👁 on this 👜 since Dior launched it, and more so when you introduced such 👜 to us 😊 I prefer the fabric version as well because I think it has more 'umph!' in it & of course, the price point, hehehe! omg...that's a tough one....both are so special....but if i had to pick, i'll pick the celine at the moment because i need the space (i've been travelling a lot, so the montaigne doesn't let me carry 2 wallets, passports, battery, camera, etc etc).

This review is very helpful! Very detailed and informative, including the materials and care as well. The 30 Montaigne bag looks bigger compared to the other two bags and surprise it doesn't fit that much. I still like it though. :)

would one have to worry about wear&tear when constantly adjusting the strap? it feels like the side would be rubbing the metal...
