as someone just about to buy Axie for the first time & in the study before buy the only youtube I could find doing this sort of thing didn't speak English so 2 thumbs up Mate
As other commenters said, I'd love to see a series like this on each kind of Axie, or at least the viable ones. It would be great to also see a vid on different macro strategies too, so like what lineup to use.
this is very helpful!! I haven't seen a lot sharing this info and this helps especially when you're still starting and figuring out which parts to consider. BIG thank you!
@2:48 serious as well as risky fish which is one of the few ways fish can break through plant tanks, so I think hot butt is quite good in the current meta
Another important note to make is making sure your SPEED is 31. Anything above 31 and your vegetal bite is useless vs your opponent's because if you steal first, you lose because he steals back that energy back. Another trick is to make your hp slightly below the max, at 59 instead of 61 because most plants are going to be 61. If you do that, you ensure that your steal will be more effective than most other plant tanks since lower hp at same speed means going 2nd.
Yeah this is a good point. I put a note about the speed in the text during the reptile parts section because I forgot to talk about it. Steal is a huge role, but it is not the only use for your tank. Being able to move first and kill their tank can be very useful.
@@Web3Wesley I haven't actually started playing the game but I've been a competitive player my whole life. Trying to build my 1st team right now and doing research. I got a question that I'm hoping you could answer. I want to build a team consisting of dual beast + tank focusing on morale (specifically "self-rally) but don't fully understand how it works. Does self-rally that gives 2 morale+ buffs last for 2 FULL rounds or just 2 attacks? Because I've seen a video where the morale+ buffs works like attack+ buff, it goes away after the attack is performed and another video where it acted like a buff that last for 2 full rounds. Also, if I were to cast it in turn 1, (2 morale+ buffs), then cast another in turn 2 (Does it 2+2=4 morale+ buffs for turn 2?), and goes back to 2 morale+ buffs in turn 3 because the 1st cast in turn 1 would have expired? Sorry to burden you with this question but thank you.
@KaiDestinyz I believe it is for 2 rounds, so your assumption is correct. +2, +4, +2 if you use it on consecutive turns. You might know this already, but useful to keep in mind: To determine if an Axie will enter Last Stand, the game uses the following formulas: Excess Damage = Damage of fatal attack - Axie’s remaining HP Morale Modifier = (Axie’s remaining HP * Morale) / 100 If Morale Modifier is greater than Excess Damage on the finishing blow, then the Axie will enter Last Stand.
@@Web3Wesley Thank you for your reply, really appreciate it. I did look up the formula before and intend to run "self-rally" on both beast with 61 morale. Still thinking on beast/beast/plant or beast/beast/reptile. Plant as a tank would be an easy choice but I intend to run "merry legion" since I have 2 beasts on the team. Merry legion is a beast card and that puts my plant's speed from 31 to 32 which is horrible. If I decide on a plant tank, I'd run "hot butt" to disable before using "serious" (No good alternatives for mouth cards) I'm considering a reptile tank because I'd make the tank faster than both my beasts to prevent birds from using "dark swoop" on my beasts. A aquatic tank would work too but reptile has Ivory chop for card draw which is pretty important for my double "self-rally" crit beasts comp. Wondering if I could get any of your expert inputs and opinions on a team centered around self-rally crit double beast comp. (I don't intend to run Ronin with Ivory as I find guaranteeing a crit on a 61 base morale to be counterintuitive hence boosting it with self-rally instead and swapping Ronin with Hero/Revenge arrow) One beast would run that and another beast would have revenge arrow/self-rally/nut throw/sinister strike. Looking for expert opinions as I'm undecided.
@@kaidestinyz It's nice to think about all of this previously, but as an example: you could start a round without hotbutt card in your hand, or the enemy didn't had serious on his. So try to get the best stats but don't overthink too much, because the cards you'll draw more of the time will be pretty trick and you have to adapt to every match.
Excellent analytical video. The one thing you could have added is what the off-class alternatives to Serious as a mouth part are (since none of the Plant options offer anything useful in comparison)
I typically recommend to stick with serious since it is so useful and there is a lot available in the marketplace. But thank you for the feedback! Next time!
I rarely comment on youtube, but thanks for this. If you could make this a series for every class, it would be incredible useful for new breeders or even PVPers as it teach the cards utilities too.

This was SOOO helpful especially for PVP! Please do more for every class so we can also fully understand the opponent's cards. This was really an "Ahah!" moment
I think this is pretty solid. I'd disagree however on your read when it comes to mouth parts. When running a tank that has Disguise/Carrot for instance you're going to be better off taking Herbivore or Zigzag over Serious since you have two means of energy generation and while Serious can be powerful in the right circumstances overall the utility and significantly higher values on those cards will serve you better into more situations. Serious will serve you very well especially low in the ladder, but once you clear 2k+ MMR the likelihood that wins you a game is almost zero and the values on it are minimal at best. - From a 2600+ MMR player prior to the recent reset.

Carrot is still a good card. Grinding SLP should be a lot faster once your level up a bit more as well. I am going to wait a few more days to update cyrptoblades, but I will say I really like the 5 fights for one fee option. It is a great way to save on gas fees. Hey Man, I want to start a new breeding line with Leaf Bug Pumpkin Serious Plants. Know I don´t know which tail I should use. Do you think Yam or Hot Butt is the best choice. Or maybe a mix of both.? I want to breed them for a longterm profit. Thank for your help
Hey great video. However, i was under the impression that the term "chained" was referring to 2 or more axies using the same card type. As opposed to a "combo", that can be executed by a single axie. What is your say on this? This is in reference to the card bamboo clan/bamboo shoot. You're doing great work👍... keep going

@@Web3Wesley Thanks for your reply and I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough. Does ranged or melee attacks change anything in a way we should fight? I don't remember seeing any restrictions such as the backline not being able to use a melee attack because he's too "far"
@Frobei - AoC Ah, no range or melee won't effect who you attack or how. There are certain cards like Sneaky Raid that attack axies in the back, but that is unrelated to melee vs ranged. It only really matters when a card "disables ranged attacks" and that kind of thing
Thank you. Question, with the rising cost of AXS token, won't that negatively affect new comers' access to breeding? Does the AXIE team have a plan for this so that it doesn't become unprofitable for breeders? Any ideas on this?
Profit margins have been getting much thinner. I am not sure what there plan is, but breeding is the absolutely essential to the game so I am sure they will incentives it. They have new competitions coming up to reward AXS to player, as well as the next season soon to reward more free AXS to players. This will allow a bunch of people to breed at a low cost, but it will also increase the circulating supply which could lower price of AXS. And of course they could reduce the cost of breeding. Reduce the SLP or AXS needed. We will just have to wait and see what happens though

Or anyone else with free time can help answer too thanks
That is a good strategy. You can save some money by getting a plant tank that already has some breeds on it, maybe a reptile part or two like I mention at the end of the video. And put more of your budget towards getting high purity aqua for the breeding. If you were just breeding, I would say buy two aquas that are identical to maximize profits, but if you are using them in a double aqua team they should have a few different moves. The midliner should be faster if possible (lower ID if they are both pure) with nimo and one high defense card. The backline aqua should ideally have koi and goldfish for speed control, and other high damage cards to finish off the game. A lot of double aqua teams are opting for a zero cost card on the backliner as well to avoid stuns from reptiles, but if your goal is to breed as well I would not worry about this.
@@Web3Wesley Yes I never thought of that for the plant I guess this is why I asked lol I will take this on board thanks for the reply I'm just going to study up on aqua before I get my 1st axies thanks appreciate the advice

Kudos on the name! I'm kinda JEALOUS!!!!! I'm gunna start a new youtube for Axie and become a manager with scholars so any name suggestions would be great. :)
Maku the funny part was I was trying not to read it like Japanese because I thought there was no way that was correct, but I realized later it was 初音 from 初音ミク. 笑 My first suggestion would be to think about how to organize everything. Keep track of costs revenue and have a god way to communicate with all your scholars.
Still Carrot is overrated man but it's okay. I use hotbutt or cattail. Yam and potato leaf is not a flex card. Hatsune is okay. Use reptile card instead like Snake jar.
@Cairo I haven't taken a look, but they would combo well together. You get the chain effect which applies fear and then that would also active the caterpillar damage bonus
I have not looked into it, but my first reaction is to avoid anything with Inu in the name haha. Just because a lot of them tend to pump and dump trying to be popular because of dodgecoin
I'm confused if I buy an Axie can I choose the body part cards or are they already decided before Axies are put on the Marketplace? When are the cards chosen? Or is it random when the Axie is born?
It is less common, but can be done for sure. Having a backline plant with gravel ant is something I am experimenting with for fun. If you are new to the game though I would recommend starting with a more common team composition and then experimenting because of how expensive it is XD.
@@Web3Wesley it would be cool if you could show that gravel ant plant on one of your future vid. Man, axie floor prices is getting really high atm. Dunno if I can ever get in and play the game with this price point xD

Come one man! For someone who has "Attack on Axie" as their name. I would assume you would be familiar Japanese Phonetics. Its HAT SOON NE :-p - just messing no harm done. Awesome video!
My first suggestion would be to think about how to organize everything. Keep track of costs revenue and have a god way to communicate with all your scholars.
@@Web3Wesley ha ha. yeah i saw you pronounce it correctly the first time around. My reply was in jest :)
I want the "more tanky" with the slippery shield for sure 😁😁
Thank you so much!
Do u have reptile card vdo yet? I can’t find it. Thank u☺️
Not yet!
Still Carrot is overrated man but it's okay. I use hotbutt or cattail. Yam and potato leaf is not a flex card. Hatsune is okay. Use reptile card instead like Snake jar.
I considered adding snake jar, but there are lots of good plant tails so I didn't bother. Appreciate the feedback
@@Web3Wesley sure man. Reptile cards are good substitute.for plant cards. You still get high HP as well as low speed.
@@Web3Wesley Hey man. Any insights about caterpillars and cute bunny build by Indes? I'm tryin to get the logic behind.
@Cairo I haven't taken a look, but they would combo well together. You get the chain effect which applies fear and then that would also active the caterpillar damage bonus
@@Web3Wesley he combo it with sugar rush Aqua in mid and sugar rush bird backline. I somehow get it but such a squishy bug tank
High ID or low ID for a tank plant?
Top content. Many thanks
Thank you for your great videos... Just off topic will you invest in Saitama Inu?
I have not looked into it, but my first reaction is to avoid anything with Inu in the name haha. Just because a lot of them tend to pump and dump trying to be popular because of dodgecoin
@@Web3Wesley Thats exactly what this coin is putting a stop to
CAN YOU PLS GIVE ME A GOOD LINE UP THAT I CAN BUY AND BREED. IM NEW ON THE GAME. THANK YOU.
Reptile please
should totally to aquas next, looking to do a double aqua team
Great video
I'm confused if I buy an Axie can I choose the body part cards or are they already decided before Axies are put on the Marketplace? When are the cards chosen? Or is it random when the Axie is born?
It is determined when the axie is born, but it is not random (only a little random). It comes from the parents genetics.
what are the best combo for the parts of a plant?
Your the best bro
any thoughts on a backline plant? I mean most teams backlines are aquas or birds. So a plant may be able to kill em 1 v 1
@Khris Jan I will do some gameplay with it in the future. It works in my mind, but needs more testing haha
@@Web3Wesley Will sure be on the lookout!
Can you create for all types of axie ?
I will try my best!
Good day sir. I have a question, you will still get ban if you made your axie account on pc and you played it on mobile?
No. But make sure to only use 1 device at a time.
October Fest is giving 140 Defense for me
110 is just the base stats, you get bonus for chains and same type
Can you make a video on how to pay scholars from the Philippines, i’m in US and cant use binance
I would like to do a video for setting up scholarships, so I will make a note of that. One option is to send them SLP or ETH. They just need their own ronin or metamask wallet depending and would have to convert to cash themselfs. But you can work all this out beforehand
\anybody has an idea on when battle v2 will be avaible?
The latest update only says they made progress, no dates yet.
@@Web3Wesley thank you 🙏🏻
Hi Sir I'm an aspring scholar. Everything that I do I do it for my family and for my studies. You dont have to worry about me I already have the knowledge about
@AxieInfinity
I know how to play it been searching about it because I wanted to be ready when someone will hire me.
Aqua please thanks 🙏
Even though the Axie Zone Card tier lost updated, does this video still apply?? For example, October Treat dropping down from S Tier to B Tier.
The video still applies. I have never trusted the axie zone tier list completely. It also says at the top it doesn't consider cards used in combos which is a big factor.
