Camden lost to Manasquan and shouldn't have been playing Newark Arts...of course, NJSIAA can't be trusted to do what's right because the 1% seems to always be in their pockets.
The uneducated sports fan sees a call at the last second of a game and thinks that it that particular call is blown that it cost a team a game when in reality every single call of the game led up to that point. If you're going to correct one bad call at the end of the game you're then going to have to go back through the entire game and correct every single one and that's obviously impossible. Bad and good calls will almost always average themselves out.
The thing is "they" didn't make the wrong call, the rite and correct call that wS made on the floor by the ref with the clearest view was overturned by the other two refs. This is wild.

That's what made the first ref change his call. It's unfortunate because the basket should've counted.

The coach saying he knows how the other team feels but his team had a great season and deserved to go to state. Be doesnt know at all what ita like because the call went his way. When a game to end your season or .ake you a champion, comes before doing the right thing, hope for those kids ever doing whats right rather then doing what puts them further ahead, even if you have to lie. The refs mistake was invalidating the call after they vacated the “confines” of the playing court. The rules clearly states once that happens the score is official and the game is over.
Stop LYING. The refs NEVER left the court. Sure, some folks from the Camden side got over to the refs to "talk" to them but that was only possible because the refs were still on the floor.
How do they even overtune a call on the floor without a replay? Thats what I dont get. In the NBA you have to go to the camera to overtune a call. They had no camera to go to. The call stating basket good should have stood.
One of my friend's dad who is white actually assists in validating games and he said 100% the kid did "not" get the ball out of his hands in time. So because the last second close shots are always reviewed that is why they were able to make the call right there on the floor. Guess the lesson to learn is although buzzer beaters make for a great ending to a game , try and learn to play more solid 4 quarters of basketball and one does not have to rely on a last second shot. So instead of misdirecting their anger maybe they need to be more upset with themselves? Just my opinion.
