18:20 On that German round the blue area on one of the signs is the sign for the next Autobahn and the directions you can go there and so you would get the bigger town names (which are obviously further away), but at least you get a better region guess. In this case it said Lindau (which is a small town at Lake Constance and probably not that well known internationally) and Munich (with the German spelling "München") and so immediately I would be drawn further south (even if I couldn't read the Highway number).
Also maybe a more special tip: the suffix "-berg" means mountain and "-bach" is creek/stream so those are usually found in more hilly regions.

You mustn't forget that you only see the top 5 guesses each round. So that makes it seem like 'everyone' gets the difficult guesses correct, but that's not fair because you only see the best ones.

14:20 I'm actually not sure if this is a meta but I've noticed while being in texas that the central/hill country cities like austin and san antonio and south of there have silver fire hydrants whereas I haven't seen that elsewhere in texas, not sure if that's reliable but an observation I've seen.
I'm from south Brazil and was really impressed by that Curitiba guess, I also thought it would've been much more north

I'm getting decent at VegetationGuessr from watching a lot of Geo content but not bothering to learn meta. I called South Thai on 15:00, around where RC guessed. For 17:40 I called Bornholm ironically, because it looks exactly like a forest I've been to there. I obviously wouldn't have actually guessed Bornholm, but I think it would lead me to south Sweden or maybe max south Finland.
