I feel like this applies with someone I have been dating, but I called them out last October about the manipulative behaviors. I did walk away. Then we started talking again end of November. They started therapy I learned. And even then, I am still telling them when they slide a little back it’s not okay. They have made comments about worrying I will walk away at any moment. I am standing on my business! In fact, they eventually referred to how others surrounding them are intimidated by them, etc. I don’t care… because what they put up with I am not. They actually have stepped up more, more communicative and open about past things. It’s been interesting to observe the changes. I have also done this with a friend and others. I have always been one to sit back, observe and let things slide until enough is enough. But definitely learned I can’t do that with some of these people who think because I love them, they can do whatever. And that’s been a needed lesson for myself.
