- Yuumi was a very fun champion to take a look at. I love cats personally so I already had a bias going into this one. Definitely want to hear from you all on her reception when she first released. Appreciate the love as always. :)

About if the players get a say on how the skin looks if it's honoring them: Meiko actually chose Yuumi to make her look similar to his own irl cat! Which is the cutest thing imo.
Also 38:11 the "yordle" she took care of is Braum! The description is just told from her own perspective as a cat, which is why his mustache is referred to as whiskers.
Noooo how did we miss the taunts! "You look like unscratched furniture!" is my fav yuumi line.
Norra is the champion exclusive have only in LOR, she is the yuumi's owner, I like that Yuumi, doesn't have name, but Norra called you and me, you me and the cat think her name is Yuumi, Norra is just go to work with her portal and Yuumi find her like they can't be separated.Yordle have a portal many places in runeterra,but other species don't know where they are sometimes have people open the portals and go into bandle city by accident,but its hard need a luck to go to bandle city and all yordle if compare with human we can call them ancestor, all of them alive more than hundred years,but with the tiny body and look young that make someone forgot how old they are
Yuumi's abilities are different now! PC Yuumi had a complete overhaul and WR Yuumi had adjustments as well. And Yuumi was the most hated champion in league as everyone called her too braindead and OP.
I love yuumi she’s my favorite support champ. She had a rework cause her kit was too OP so nowadays she’s weak 😢
Have you tried full AP Yuumi. My friend who first played League with only Yuumi did it sometimes and her Qs basically become mini nukes doing good damage
Hearseeker Jinx was paired with Yuumi. For the worlds skins the players give their design ideas and sometimes back animation.

Fun fact, in latin america there is a meme of a cat saying "¿me perdonas?" Do you forgive me? So riot added the line when you leave your attached ally

As you may know, Battle Academia is kinda referenced to My Hero Academia (if you know that anime).
So Yuumi being the principal is also based on MHA's animal Principal Nezu.

Yuumi used to be my absolutely favorite champion in the game, but because a bunch of people complained about not liking to play against her (even though she was very easily countered) they reworked her, and now she is not nearly as fun to play anymore and I barely play her anymore because of that.

Norra is a Legends of Runeterra exclusive champion so it's hard to say if anything regarding her return is canon,
Also Yuumi is probably the most hated champion in League because she was released in a very very OP state and the hate just stuck to her,
Also also as a 4-5 years old champion, she has already gotten her abilities reworked/changed TWICE (because of how OP she was)
The character itself isn't hated, but some Yuumi players are, because they think they can piggyback another player into a victory and blame its host (mostly like adc's) when both get caught.

I usually like edgy champs but I enjoy playing Yuumi a lot, she plays like a poke mage that empowers carries and bruisers. Since she is really simple, if you have master the fundamentals of a support, she can be really strong and hard to kill. Sadly she is cute and untargetable so a lot of people hate her. Shes also been change constantly because she was op on competitive play.

A played old yuumi... now that her E no longer heal and u have that best friend mechanic she is rly weak... without hyper carry she is rly usless
So, unfortunately, Yuumi is probably the most hated champion in the game and it comes down to almost entirely being about her gameplay. Riot had stated that their idea for Yuumi was supposed to be an enchanter support designed for people who are brand new to the game to play. The attach mechanic, where she jumps onto another champion, meant that the Yuumi player doesn't have to 'worry' about movement or positioning which might sound great for a brand new player but it led to the perception that Yuumi players were shit and couldn't play the game. It also led to bad habits being formed, since Yuumi doesn't play like another champion in the game and therefore if someone started the game 'maining' Yuumi, they didn't actually learn the basics of how to properly play the game as a support (positioning in lane, how to trade health for damage as as support, placing and denying vision, roaming during back timers etc).
The second problem was the fact that Yuumi is completely untargetable while she was attached. What often happened was that if Yuumi's Top Laner or Jungler got fed, the 'correct' gameplay was to abandon the ADC and go attach to the fed player. This meant that the Top or Jungler was now extremely hard to kill with Yuumi healing/shielding/speeding them up and the enemy team can't even target the Yuumi to try and stop it - it was very unfun experience for the other team. This was compounded by the fact that Yuumi was pretty good as an enchanter, so she was able to scale really well while being unkillable.
Finally, because of Yuumi's strengths she became almost 100% Pick/Ban in Pro-Play and despite many attempts at balance changes from Riot she remained very high priority. While this was compounded by the release of Zeri, who had her own balance problems, the Zeri/Yuumi combo was being seen in almost every pro-game and the meta was getting really stale. It also didn't help that Yuumi as a champion is a lower skill-expression champion (ie she is perceived as a noob-friendly champion, without any high skill required) so having these insanely skilled players like T1 Keria being 'forced' into 'Yuumi-Jail' wasn't exactly thrilling for viewers. So Riot eventually took the drastic measure of nerfing her into the ground (like literally nerfing her so bad she was basically useless). This had the effect of removing her from pro-play at the cost of making her basically unplayable. They then reworked her abilities in attempt to balance her for lower rank games while still keeping her out of pro-play which, while mostly successful in that regard as she's rarely seen in pro-play now, didn't really address the perception of the 'core problem' of Yuumi which is that she attach/untargetable mechanic.
Otherwise her lore, visual design, voice-lines and all that are all quite good imo and I don't think there was too many complaints in that regard. It's basically entirely her gameplay that makes her so hated.
yuumi had such a troublesome kit on release, she first had the lowest winrate on release, until people realized that she was attach 90% of the game so she didnt need shoes nor boots, pro players started abusing her to no end and she was clearly overpowered, an enchanter support the enemy cant target was too oppresive on ADCs with movility like ezreal and zeri, but specially, her old kit let her hop on a tank and become impossible to kill.
riot nerf her, change her kit around , and basically remove alot of what made her strong when on ANY champion, and force her to attach to attack focus champions to be the most effective
Yuumi is kinda hated because she is very dull to both play and play against. And when she was strong you couldn’t really counter her because she was inside her adc the entire time and thus untargetable

@@marquisepixley684She forced adc in soloq to withstand skill shots from 2 enemies alone. Rarely found a good player who utilizes her attachment in lane. And when it's already time to shine for adc. They'll attach who's fed than their adc leaving them unprotected in team fights. And most importantly, yuumi+fed bruiser is a nightmare that has 0 counters. Prove me wrong.
