What a show. Art as the vehicle for transformation and redemption. The show's haunting question resonates: can people truly change? Do they want to and to what depth and degree can they?
At the core of this allegory is the passion play of Carmy and Sydney, the most compelling, hauntingly enigmatic, and heartbreakingly beautiful on-screen couple in recent memory. How poignant that an allegorical show about mixing ingredients, applying fire -- "fire, chef!"--and artistry to transform those ingredients into works of Art and meaning pivot on the "SLOW BURN" of that show's hauntingly beautiful, wary, enigmatic "under-the-table" couple in plain sight: Carmy and Sydney. Of course we "ship" them. Their voyage of heart and soul, Love Supreme, is taking them to distant shores that MATTER.

And I mean with the way he looks at Sydney...there is definitely chemistry going on with them and people can call it just a friendship but it has got to turn into something more at least I hope it does....because I honestly can't see it any other way!
