While I agree with the Zethian rant, in my experience... my more PvE / casual inclined friends... usually 'stop' and go play something else and don't return when they encounter that gearlet stomp scenario. They don't do the 'welp, let me grind more to do that or stand a chance next time'; especially if the game relatively time gates that through a modest or better grind like this type of game is relatively known for. Yes, we can also argue that they're playing the wrong game then... I do to an extent, but then we can also not say much when there aren't enough people PvP'n, etc.
As well, generally 'ranked' systems don't have a gear influence or that content also provides the gear as you progress so that you can eventually be on the same page with those people that were initially more geared than you. Furthermore, when that gear influenced ladder is present - its usually paralleled by an equalized ladder, too. So, it's at least in some instances a bit more complicated than presented - even in KR games.

The problem with gear in BDO is not the grind, it's that even with a not so big gap in gs you either oneshot or you do no damage : in pve it's one thing, but in pvp you just don't have a fight.
Unless it's AOS there are literally no "fights" in BDO. It's just a one-shot fiesta.
@@DrSwazz Even AoS has some classes who scale there pretty poorly. They will tickle and deal mostly insignificant damage while you have awak drak who just three taps ppl in AoS. That's why the top of the ladder was mostly awa draks last ranked season.

If you spent 7 years grinding and fear people having ur gear, it's no longer a gear issue, it's a skill issue. Playing 7+ years you should be better. Yet better players come along and get your gear, suddenly you're eating dirt and outraged. "B.b.but I "earned" my gear," says the guy playing a rng game.
My take:
Everything should be uncapped besides Red Battlefield. Red Battlefield could be a great stepping stone to introducing players to group pvp, specifically people who play solo, not in guilds, or not in pvp guilds. Red Battlefield should be in test character gear. 270 ap 340 dp.
Maybe, maybe have t1 nodewars capped... simply because the geared trolls...
Im not upset with zethians point of view on capped content however i onow for a fact if he didnt have the gesr he had his mindset would be the opposite.
Years ago he didnt hide his servers and said "stream sniping was not a thing."
He also thought anyone who hid there servers was a coward...
Because no one could kill.
Once people caught up with him he stsrted hiding his streams server and commented on strean sniping.

I DO DISAGREE with his opinion however. I know if your grinding and get one shot and made so you can't grind.... thats motivation to quit the game.
If it takes someone 5 years to catch up, to even beable to compete.....they will quit.
Capped and uncapped content are botg important. Howver rewards shpuld be appropriate for said content anf gear required.
you actually enhance a really good gear you sell it and then you upgrade your gear even more with that sell. and never have to touch a monster ever xD😜😜😜🤪🤪

because of what choice says NA market is soooo bad, no1 does anything and nothing is present at all, Plus newer ppl have harter time getting in the game.. world bosses give free stacks that u canot get anywhere else or in reasonable time (and no wasting 10k black stones per small enchanting sesion is not feasable) IF , IF ppl actually fight the world bosses ,not if it stays alive for 20-30mins.

BUT, the cap or barriers NEEDS to go away for high-end players, i 100% agree. Please hook me in first. I downloaded BDO for the combat, the world, the classes, YES I KNEW it was a grind fest, but that's is totally NOT the reason i pressed that download button. I got to work for at least a year to get one ''Meh'' piece of gear and still get instantly one shotted by everyone looking at me. Yes I could 'go grind and make money' but im making 400m an hours and those guys are making 2 billion.
'It has to work this way because it always was this way' is not the best take IMO. Look at mobile games/WoW/Fifa and all others exemple of this. Coming from someone unwilling to talk and just trolls people don't appeal to me. Then again, I understand and agree with the take at high-levels.

This is not exclusive to you blue, this is what i hate on reacts in general. I mean it's a pistanity clip, only thing he was missing is the demotivation part and that we have too much capped content, but without the capped content I'm pretty sure lots of people wouldn't even had started playing this game (Although I can agree that we need more uncapped stuff BUT the t1-t2 caps are really good for new players (To try, the caps are absolutely shit for some classes regarding the dmg they can do but I rather them do some AoS gear shit for t1 t2 than increasing the caps)

cap contents SUXS cuz no BALANCE of DP, so FU i quit the game with 10 000 h gameplaytiome, beacuse everything become oneshot 309 ap with luner+2Daws i can one combo anything, never less cuz i like to play Bezerk but awe, i can 2 shot ranger archer which is not fun for them, NEVER LESS they still refuse to optimaze the game so people with better FPS and MS have really DIFFEREND play of the game, that why i QUIT AION TO cuz there i had 120 MS, here is not that but still i get 60-80 on EUROPE server(me from europe) and when fight someone with 15-30 ms yee i lose cuz of that, not of skill or gear check
