- The farm is now Deere free!! It was an entertaining run while it lasted. With a lot of wrenching I made this into a good picker; it was worn when I got it. Sadly I don't have barn space to keep everything. Now I have the Unisystem to pick corn.
Good job, will miss your JD 300 videos. Best wishes with the UNI.
Looks like the buyer purchased a great machine. Have a good day.
Wish I had been the buyer.
I always wanted a John Deere 300 corn picker😊
@@jrregan That explains the heavy duty securement I was wondering about!! It looked like a belt from someone's pants around the hitch...
John Deere free is nice indeed.
"winter annuals" I LOL'd . Thanks for posting these vids
Jacob you did a good job rebuilding it but I’m not sad to see it go.
Nice, that Unisystem is something really unique, it will make great videos
Nice seeing that sperry skidsteer still working for you.. my 775 with the diesel engine is still literally chappin on yet 😊.. great work on the vid as usual sir.. stay safe 🏴
I’ve been hoping to see a video of the uni system running. Don’t that have a Allis-Chalmers 426? That’s what our Allis 7060s have.
Man I I love that jd picker.the best is the best.thanks😊
yes. I remember your Ford semi mount picker you playing in the mud with it 😂
I understand and am in the same boat,Jacob. I went about 70 miles and got a NI loader for my son's Farmall M after looking for quite some time. Just today i marked THREE on FBM that would have been suitable and all are closer...Oh well....
As long as you can keep the Uni from breaking down, then again, what's the difference between it and a pull behind. They break down just as much. What, ... it's never muddy in November or December... That's a good reason I'd need to pick in January- frozen ground. My NI 2-row would always go sideways in the mud. Didn't matter what tractor you had. Anchor is right.
Thanks for the vid. Did you know if you shell the left over ear corn and then grind the cobs, it makes an excellent floor dry.
I wood have keep the john dear as a backup just in case the uni broke down
Uni will break down. JD still has parts available.
Good video.
Hate to see the JD go looked.like a good rig, always used a Ford myself, good luck with the uni!
You got ride of your Deere problem in the corn.
I wondered how are going to pick ear corn now? Forgot you have the Unipicker. Bring on the mud.
I have one if you want another jd back great shape 😂😂
It was a good unit since you replaced the key operating parts. The Uni ought to perform well though.
Hello Boehm farm creator.
A Deere free farm makes for a happy farm :)
Are you picking wide row or narrow
Wide
What are You going to do with that 30% ear corn? Are You going to put it in your metal corn crib and air it? If You are going to fill those wagons up, You have to put some high sideboards on. I used to run a Uni, took a sheet of plywood and split it in half.Picked a lot of hillsides. If You didn't have high boards You'd have more corn on the ground than in the wagon.
This wagon was for immediate sales to fill truck beds being dumped in the woods and wasted on deer.
Those deer hunters have more money than You know what! I think it's some sort of sickness.
I fed My share this year. Had a 23 acre field of beans, didn't get one bean off it. If they keep multiplying We won't be able to grow anything to harvest.
👍👌♥️🇨🇦
Uni system video?
Not completely John Deere free, you still wear that John Deere sweatshirt shirt lol 😆
It's brown and I don't care what happens to it.
@@boehmfarm4276 oh ok lol 😆
Rye cover corp make nitrogen where where weeds do not
Rye is NOT a legume therefore it does not "make" nitrogen... being a grass (Poaceae) type plant and a small grain it may SCAVENGE nitrogen from the soil, but it does not host Rhizobia bacteria in the soil to convert plant sugars into nitrates like a legume does...
