LIMENARIA - Thassos, Greece

Limenaria is the second largest city in Thassos.
Its financial and population growth began in the early 20th century with the large mining operation launched by the German corporation “Speidel”
There are two beaches in Limenaria. One is small, in the city center, and the other is larger outside the immediate center of the city. The larger beach is mostly sand on the shore, but alternating stone, gravel and fine sand are present in the waters. Beach Limenaria is suitable for swimmers, but less so for children…..
