    I was considering upgrading my N4P to linear rails but I've read how bad they are if you don't lube them constantly, otherwise they will perform worse than POM wheels. That really pulled me off this upgrade after seeing the barely noticeable differences.
    Nice video tough, we need more content for the N4P, which is by the far the best printer in the 300-350 USD range IMO.
    Before the N4P I had an Original ENder 3 for over 6 years and I only changed its POM wheels in the last 6th year in an attempt to improve the X axis jerkiness and ghosting that I was experiencing, only to find out that the issue was with the worn out belt gears instead. The POM wheels where still fine after all those years.

      I found it helped with bed leveling the most, removing the pom wheels made it easier by eliminating one more factor. I turned the nut once and I could never get it back the same (taco bed).

    what's the recommended maintenance? do you have to regrease at a certain point or oil the rails?

      I would recommend looking up ratrigs dozuki guide as they kinda cover everything you are asking with more detail then I can provide in a comment.

      Right off Amazon! Just make sure you get the right size sheet. The last thing you wanna do is get one too big or small.

    I really doubt that Y-axis linear rail kit has anything to do with bed leveling. It's more likely that your bed was over-tightened and you fixed it by removing and re-installing it. What's more interesting - you look look at the graphs, you can actually see that vibrations are stronger after installing linear rail kit (see the values on the left!), but yeah, you have only one peak which is an improvement

      Adding the y axis linear absolutely helps eliminate bed leveling problems. You don’t have to adjust your eccentric nuts which usually is the main issue for bed getting a taco bed mesh. And that in itself just eliminates another problematic factor in bed leveling.
      Also the numbers on the left are higher AFTER the rails are installed because it can reach a higher vibration test, therefore offering a higher acceleration overall.

      You don't adjust eccentric nuts to improve bed leveling. You adjust them to prevent the bed from wobbling. For bed leveling you need to adjust tilt screws that are still here

      Right, but have you not had a loose Pom wheel? Once I tightened the Pom wheels on mine I could not get the bed leveled the same. It was a battle of small turns of both the nuts and bed screws.
      By getting rid of the Pom wheels altogether you have one less point of failure. That simple.

    Can i ask why would you recommend rails over bands?

    • @EdsTechTalk94
      @EdsTechTalk94  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It still uses the belt. And if you are saying why not use belts all around like a core XY, well it’s a bed slinger but I think my next printer will be a voron or the SV08

    Which one do i order for the neptune 4 max thats the full kit?

    • @EdsTechTalk94
      @EdsTechTalk94  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Under the Elegoo products it should say Elegoo Neptune 4 MAX upgrade kit and then you have to add each kit (x, y, and z)

      It’s the stock plate that comes with the Neptune 4 plus’s but the kit is from TBStrons3D and I do recommend it. They are great with service and support.
