catie smith I would say it is different for everyone because I LOVED dancing in college. Although I didn't have a dance/drill team in HS so I have nothing to compare it too, but dance team in college was the best! It was an easy was to make friends as a freshman and those friendships lasted all throughout my college years! Dance team was also a nice break from studying and other homework, it was tough to balance but I did it!
catie smith It's less fun because it's more serious and my rehearsals end at 10 pm and I have tons of studying to do afterwards. It just kinda seems like a job. I had to quit for 2 semesters because I couldn't do school and dance at the same time but I'm gonna go back in January and hopefully it gets better. Petrushka Sevilla drill team is a dance team that dances at halftime of football games and attends dance competitions. They put a lot of emphasis on high kicks and precision dancing. It's more of a southern thing- originating from Texas & its traditional for the dance officers (advanced dancers/leader of the team) to wear white uniforms indicating their leadership position. In texas there is usually a drill team and cheer team. Drill team performs during halftime, while cheerleaders do chants and pyramids by the bleachers on the track. The ones wearing white were the drill team officers ( they lead the team and teach/create choreography and usually are the more advanced dancers.) Hope this helped!
Drill and cheer where I live are soooo different, I personally am on a drill team and we do football and compete while cheer basically only cheers at games while we perform half times

In texas there is usually a drill team and cheer team. Drill team performs during halftime, while cheerleaders do chants and pyramids by the bleachers on the track. The ones wearing white were the drill team officers ( they lead the team and teach/create choreography and usually are the more advanced dancers.) Hope this helped!
Drill and cheer where I live are soooo different, I personally am on a drill team and we do football and compete while cheer basically only cheers at games while we perform half times
