It's understandable that you're confused by this video. This video was made for exactly that purpose. Most of the scenes in the video are just designed to look visually strange without any meaning. It's about not trying to think too rationally, not judging yourself, and living a little bit crazy and free.
I really loved and appreciated that you asked questions when you were confused instead of just being like "I dont get it I dont like it" and moving on. I know growing up as a queer teen, all I ever wanted was an adult in my life who *wanted* to understand. So seeing that really warmed my heart!
The song is about going crazy and going crazy for the things you love without caring how you might look to the others. All the members are also dressed up as their interests/personalities and are being girly girls in their own way! They know what is right for them and will continue forming their own paths
Sakura said in one of the behind the scenes that people might not understand the MV and that it’s weird and crazy and that’s exactly what they’re going for. The overall meaning of yhis song is to not let unfair standards set by society stop you from going crazy for what you love. It’s a song to literally just let loose and go crazy. If you’re up for it, check out their other b-sides as well. Pierrot & 1-800-hot-n-fun. Crazier, though, is so beautiful. The lyrics made me cry
For me it was saying doesn't matter what society says you should dress and act like you want-all the girls are girling differently and that's ok. 😇 This is where my GenZ grands come in handy.
Honestly the song is a vibe it’s not something I’d listen to everyday but I like how they experimenting with different music styles😭 (also you should listen to 1800-hot and fun they ate down on this song so hard)
Thanks. Loved you comment on "a middle age man" and k-pop. I guess I'm a few year older than middle age getting 60 next time, and you comments just resounded so good with me. None of my friends understand my interest for k-pop :-) Asking the why question often can lead us on to an adventure. I love these adventures, and enjoy all these new experiences. Life is a great journey.
It definitely feels crazy. It’s feel an instant vibe, considering how music videos, dance, and fashion are intertwined. The fashion industry is crazy, moving so fast that it’s hard to grasp. Recent fashion isn’t art anymore(maybe never) it’s just a chaotic, fast-paced factory.
There's nothing wrong with him being confused. He asked because of the chance of there BEING something to understand, he would like to so as to include everyone and be understanding of everyone and maybe even be included. I think it's extremely important to be open when something confuses you and to voice it, ESPECIALLY when you're voicing it with the intent of learning! Huge green flag from our Roscoe as usual
My enjoyment comes from digging deep into each artist's art. To me, watching something and just going, "COOL!" or "I guess they're just being artsy" isn't giving the artists and their effort enough appreciation for what they *may* be trying to say. I generally like to think I have a pretty good eye for things that are artsy and things that are symbolic or referential; there is a massive difference between those things. And, like Bleumoon said, I try to be open-minded enough to *know* that maybe there are things I just don't understand... and I extend that offer to explain to you, the audience. And if I'm being honest, if the answer is always, "THEY'RE JUST BEING ARTSY IT DOESN'T HAVE TO MEAN ANYTHING", then yes, I would find that disappointing.
theres nothing wrong w being confused esp bc he didn't really know abt vogue/lgbt+ culture prior to this vid 😭 its ok to ask questions and be curious. also as a director its natural to think abt the choices put into videos since thats what they have to think abt since theyre.. yk.. directors 🤯🤯 anyways i think its good to want to learn more about something u dont know much about. thats how we learn & grow as people :)

WHY DOES HE ALWAYS ACT SO CONFUSED LIKE CAN AN ARTIST NOT BE ARTSY?? Or have you gotten used to everything being right on the nose like Bts?😕
