My experience mirrors yours. I wanted to like it, but when I have trouble getting it to stay on without leaking, I'm not getting any benefit or saving any time.

I have the same setup. Generally I don’t mind paying more to have good reliable tools. “Buy once, cry once” mentality. As you and others mentioned, it could be better. It still occasionally leaks so i have to fiddle with it to get a good seal. Not sure how much time I’m saving. And since it’s bulky, i still take it off to fill tires on my motorcycles. The search continues…

Been looking for a good one for years. Still haven't found one that doesn't leak. Recently been using the old bicycle style with the flip lock for all schraders. Works great. Never leaks.

With my M12 I am fine with my smaller/lighter brass (a/w quick release) chuck. Even though I have to fiddle with it occasionally. The ability to set the PSI & walk away is a game changer for me.
The LockNFlate appears to be to heavy and clunky for the intended purpose on a "portable" system.

I’ve had the same experience with Locknflate. Emailed them and they exchanged it. New one did the same. Leaks about half the time.😩

2024-06-18 - The "good enough" air chuck by AstroAI now has an upgraded grey color "heavy duty" brass and stainless steel model with double jaws. The standard AstroAI chuck is $10 for a 2 pack on Amazon. The newly upgraded model $10 for a 1 pack, so essentially double the price.

I backed down a driveway with the m12 attached. I mentioned it in my video about m12 inflator. Luckily I haven’t done it yet with my M18.

I put the jaco L3 series kn my m12 inflator as its a quick chuck that can do presta and schraeder for its great for bikes and other things. My m18 inflator I put the lock n flate because I only use it for tires

I picked up the M12 inflator the other day and was looking for exactly what you’re sharing. Will report back once I’ve had a chance to test it myself.

I absolutely love mine and I can fix your problem. When you clamp it on, if you have that tiny leak, give it a turn. The clamp is threaded and a quarter turn will make the leak go away.

I also use the M12 inflator... however I have noticed that when you check the tire pressure after inflation it is always lower than the set value.

@lastbesttool this one that you linked looks different in that it has a 1/4” NTP fitting so it requires and adapter to fit to Schrader and it also doesn’t have the pressure release. The one in your video that is connected to your M18 inflator is the one I thought you’d recommend as good enough since it’s still connected and it’s short. Please explain if you don’t mind why you’ve linked to this other one that you didn’t really show.

Doc, that tool is about, "to blow up" 😉, the inflation market.

I'm looking for a good presta inflator for bikes, anyone have a favorite presta inflator/connector on your air compressor or cordless inflator?

40 bucks for something like that??? Nothing beats a simple quick coupler like the one on an EWO 356-66. Get yourself one of those and throw out everything else.

Hey Doc, do you have a link for that little brass one with the pressure release button on the side? Thanks

    • @lylewaters6161
      @lylewaters6161 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Yeah, the link to the good enough one didn’t have the pressure release in the side so I wasn’t sure if that was the one you said was pretty good. I also saw a three pack of these in Amazon and only one of the three had the pressure release. Hard to go by names because most of them are alphabet soup.

These are too bulky. Lightning Air chuck is far superior
