Been watching tons of hyper pop tutorials on binge while smoking and seeing what I learn through osmosis and I gotta say your vids are the best I’ve seen. You’re so clear and easy to follow
What do you mean a vocal present video? Like how to make your vocals present? I’m just asking for clarification! And o yeah the harmonies one would be sick. I’ll definitely work on putting that together 🙌🔥
its gentle type of distortion, the stock overdrive plugin in ableton is what i use a lot if i want to add grit or a driven distorted sound to an element of the track
A lot of times I will copy the lead vocal track to a grouped bus of the backgrounds and then will effect it to test. Usually on backgrounds I am taking off some more low and high frequencies to let the lead shine more and removing s sounds and breaths. Each scenario is different though. Sometimes I will go in on different layers and give them unique character. Just depends on the genre and what the song calls for. If you have a specific track/vocals you want me to take a look at, shoot me a dm on ig at @jnabsbeats and we can set up a zoom sesh so I can take a look and help.
this was more a general vocal mixing tutorial but I can do a more in depth one. most of brakence's stuff to me is just basic vocal mixing (compression, eq, maybe some saturation, and very dry/not a lot of reverb) with some occasional pitch effects. what specific brakence vocal effects would you like to see me cover?
idk how you make such high quality videos and dont have more of a following. Your vids are so good keep up the good work
Damn you have no idea what that means to hear that. I appreciate it so much 🙏 if there’s anything I can do to help you out let me know!

Kerovee by g200kg is an ok autotune effect, with some impressive formant shifting (really clean, few artifacts, etc)
I’ll have to check it out, sounds 🔥! 🙏
Nice tut! Would it not be cleaner to do a first EQ (removing low end and harsh freq) before compressing ?
You should make a Vocal present video on hyperpopp and also a how to make harmonies cuz I struggle with that 😭
