Matt, I bought a pair of these a couple months ago. Yep the packaging was over the top! I ended up returning them because the fit for me never felt right. But I’m sure other folks may love them.
i like it when they priced the shoes right. Carbon plated shoes around $120. You can not hear of that anywhere. Saucony Endorphin pro is $220. I will surely consider to buy one of these when I think I need a carbon plated racer… I am still a beginner in my running journey so speed 2 is great for me for the next two years. Afterwards, I probably can pick this up for 50% off.. that’s $60 for a plated shoe. It is a deal for me. I do not want to send you the pink hand nail emoji, i Love that party face emoji you asked on another video. 🥳 we could do some party here too.
Every video is a party so I’ll always accept the party face! Yep, good prices are to be had if we wait a while! Another comment mentioned picking up a pair of AlphaFly for $60! Can you believe the luck at finding that deal?! 🤯
@@its_Matt_B_ I would not buy an alphafly even for $60, since I think I am a heel striker since my outersole indicates that I am a mid foot and heel striker. Those alphafly will rip up very quickly on my feet … I might not even step hard enough on those air pockets anyway…. Lol. But I am learning forefoot running in the past month and realize it gives workout on my calf muscles whereas heel strikes work on my thighs. I can do a 10k run now.. my first 5k with forefoot running and the latter 5k as I am getting tired I go with heel striking, powered by my thigh muscles.
@@redstonep7607 You're so good to think critically about whether the Alphafly would really work for you! Yes, different strike patterns really work different areas of the leg!
Interesting shoe. Most likely of Chinese origin... Paint job is quite eye catching💅. I liked the engineering with the cord going around heel collar and pulling forward to get a heel lockdown without needing runner loop lacing. 👍 But that exposed heel air unit is likely to be punctured easily if it hits a sharp edge. I think the foam looks like EVA, maybe some sort of chemically modified EVA. I think it looks a bit fancier than my $100 Atreyu Artist. However, a better comparison would probably be PUMA Deviate Nitro 2. It is $40 more expensive but there are usually discount coupons available, and the foam is a combination of nitrogen infused EVA and PEBA (dual layer arrangement). I don't know if you took a look at PUMA Deviate Nitro 2. Maybe you did, I don't remember right now.
I didn't run in the Deviate Nitro 2, but I loved the first Deviate Nitro! That air unit feels quite tough, but it's only a sharp stone away from being punctured. However, even if it was punctured I can't quite see how it would make too big a difference to the ride. I suppose it could have a use, but it could just as easily be aesthetic only. I wasn't the Artist's biggest fan, but the Artist feels more race-ready than this shoe. This shoe feels like a tempo day shoe more than race day shoe.
Cheers for the 💅🏽, Wayne! OneMixofficial.com shows worldwide shipping and OneMix shoes can be bought on Amazon and AliExpress, so you should have no problem picking up a pair!
Hi bro, thanks for the great review! My I have a question for you, I'm 1.94 tall, and weigh 115 kilos. I love to run, but need a shoe that will keep my back healthy. Which shoe do you recommend?
@@lironratzon56 this is a bit tricky because I don’t know what is wrong with your back. Do you like a firmer or softer ride? Do you need any stability features?

I was pleasantly surprised because I expected them not ti feel right, but they did. I suppose it’s the same for a lot of shoes.
I recently bought the adidas Adizero Prime X Strung for 125 EUR...

I just received my 1st pair. Definitely has some bounce comparing to my other pair of brooks guardrail 22. Can't wait to try them out tomorrow.
Oh nice! Check back in and LMK what you think after a run or two!
How long did they last in the end before the foam was done?
I was amazed by this shoe when I got a deal from Ali Express for $53. I hope it will provide me with good running speeds.
That’s an epic deal for these shoes! 💫
@@its_Matt_B_ What was your impression of these shoes in terms of long distances?
@@ABU_ABDULSALAM They felt good. Not too snappy, but they were comfortable.

💅 interesting mate, nice to have an affordable shoe on the market
Cheers, James! Yes it is! We need more less-expensive options to help drive down the price of all shoes (or at least slow the price increases).
@It's Matt B or more premium outlet stores. I picked up a pair of Alphafly's for $60 at Christmas. Almost lost my mind hahaha
@@the_mid_night_runner Wow! What a fantastic find! I’m sure you thought they were mispriced! 🤣 That’s amazing!
It cracks me up considering I bought my first pair for $380aud in '21. So I had to buy 2 more pairs at that price. Maybe 1 for training lolz

Thanks for the 💅🏽 and the luck! I'll need it! 💪🏽
💅 nice to have more affordable options.
Agreed! Shoes, and especially carbon plated shoes, have just got out of control with their prices!
Would you say they would be better for over or under pronating?
Neither. They are a neutral shoe but the carbon plate will provide equal motion control.
Matt did you mention heel drop and stack height and I missed it?
I didn't mention the stack height as that info wasn't available, however the drop is 8mm.
@@its_Matt_B_ Copy that; thanks Matt
by the way I also got these recently, for just $80. I'm really curious, they arrive tomorrow
