IMO the helicopter destruction mission is much easier. You can do it right off the bat with dual bazooka. All you need to do is smoke the 6 helicopters and get about the same reward as this.
For those later in the game a MUCH better farm is the AC fight in chapter 3 against Nightfall raven. 180k per minute (can be killed in sub 10 seconds with right build)

I changed the weapons used. I switched to the SG-026 Haldeman. If you're able to keep him in front of you and keep hitting him at close range with those shotguns, he stuns for easier. After getting used to it, I can beat him under 30 seconds or just over 30. The forced wait time after winning is under a minute. Though if he runs around more and more, it can take longer.
I prefer farming with Operation Wall Climber as it takes me 3:49s for a total of $353,842 Coam. Destroy the Test AC gives me $92,350 at 1:04s and once you account for all the loading times its a bit less efficient than the former. Cheers!
You can use the same thruster and generator on basically any early-game build on the Destroy Artillery Instillations, Destroy Transport Helicopters, and Attack the Dam Complex as well. They pay out better as they're all stationary targets with no bad RNG, though the Dam one can be a bit bad on RNG as you need to wipe all the fodder enemies with the first 2 stationary objectives.
wall climber can be done in about 4 minutes incl. loading screen and nets you 400-425 if you just quickly kill the cannons on top of the wall. Just use plasma for anything immobile, some heavy stagger weapon to basically stunlock the boss to death
Awesome strat! I played with a few weapon configs and I ended up liking dual laser cannon/dual laser shotguns best. I S-ranked this mission first try with them. Just have the laser shotguns pre-charged before you engage him. Land that, follow up with the laser cannons and he's already at 50%. Do that one more time and he's dead.
It is more like 85~87k COAM/per run, not 100k. Also "Destroy the Choppers" can be finished just as quickly, but if you also destroy the 4-leg guarding the last Choppers you will be rewarded with about 95~100k COAM/per run. Each of these two Missions can be completed in approximately 70 secs. PS: I just did 5 runs on each of the two Missions and got a very solid average of about 70 secs (+/- 2sec) in all 10 runs. The Chopper Mission is clearly the winner, and might be the best Mission to grind COAM, but i will test a few more to see if there might be a even quicker way to get COAM. EDIT: But the "Dam" Mission is even better. Here you have half the loading times, because it only takes one run to get as much COAM as you would could get from either two runs in Destory the AC or Destroy the Choppers.
Actually the full loop takes around 1:30 minutes (more or less depending how much Dafeng runs away or stuck himself in buildings) + the run is not 100k, nor it is 95k... it's an average of 75k if you remove the ammo+repair cost (between 70k and 80k depending on luck/performance). So your guide is actually a 50K/min if you optimize your time. Can you correct video title to avoid spreading misinformation so we can compare what's best between this strategy versus Dam or helicopter ?
Destroy the tester AC........ Buddy 1:40 seconds the dam mission 180k . All you need equipped is the fastest of the 4 parts in each category and the lazer rifles that unlock with the shop.... Second best is after chapter 3 the destroy fuel depot. Use the same lazers and get the Neomuna lazer rifles from the mission that you destroy the sheild generators by going into a cave.... It's easy to miss this chest, but is very worth it to farm the fuel depot mission so long as you conserve ammo. 400+k (100-120k is listed, the Neomuna is for the two MC/AC units that attack you, it Eats their souls and assholes in one go, use lazer cannons(cannons are shoulder mounted, don't use lazer rifles) or the Songbirds if you wish for the Dark souls stun buildup. AC shouldn't have stun buildup or elemental build ups. Therefore it's a MechSouls game... Sadly real AC games are at base and at the core.... Way better. Not saying the game isn't good. It's just gone about in the wrong spirit and way.
What do you need to farm for if you can afford those? That's some of the best most expensive gear that early - the generator is half a million coam, those lasers are also expensive
just sell all your items and buy them then and then farm this and then buy them back I guess. Or just get one hand gun and one laser and use that until you have the money to upgrade the rest. Even with just one of each it would probably only take like 10 or 20 minutes to then buy everything else.

You don’t even have to shoot any enemies you can just blow up for stationary targets and then get paid like 80,000 for it lol

You can build dual cannon on hands too, are really more fast if you build some hp

Attack the watchpoint gives you ~400k and it only takes 3-4 min with the right build (plus you get to shit on Balteus over and over again)

Ignore the units after the second generator. It's the best farm till chapter 3 and doesn't need the wall to be completed.
