I love your outlook on old school MapleStory. I wanted to start playing it too but I feel like a lot of the fun back then was that sense of exploration and wonder. Going into a new area not knowing what the fuck to expect was what made traveling fun for me. I could get on a ship, get to a place, get beat and then have to fly my defeated ass back again, or maybe I end up at the right spot and meet some new people.
Discovering all the new areas and music is what made it magical for me, when your only guide was a Mapler saying "Maybe try traveling to X", who was either being friendly and helpful or trolling the absolute fuck out of you. You never knew until you got there.
Watching you play and enjoy being in places like Ariant, even though you know exactly what they are like, is sort of inspiring to me. If you can still feel that sense of adventuring, maybe I can too... Maybe I should try it too, and achieve MY childhood dream of transforming my brawler into 'Super Sonic', as I used to call it in my pre-teens :D
    Thanks for these videos.

I'm still SO enamored with the journey that you're on. I love learning and hearing about all that MapleStory has to offer, both for you and others alike. Super stoked to see you on your adventure!! Till next time 💙

    Yay, new episode!!
As for my favorite music, it's kinda difficult to pick a #1, but if I really HAD to, I would pick "Upon The Sky" the OST playing when taking boat boat to/from Ellinia to/from Orbis. I absolutely love it.

I was in Broa too, from the Beta days on. My original character was Hybrid2008 (still exists) but shortly after that I took to "SentaiBrad" or "Sentai_____" for my characters. I remember LightOne, I was also good friends with Philzor. Were you using Enka back then? It *seems* familiar.

Got my Bandit to 3rd job recently and youre right it is super slow! I love grinding but it can give you a bit of brain rot. Some things that helped me:
Grilled Cheese as pots are great and cheap! Theyre bought in NLC, i put a low level toon there to buy them then trade them to me.
Quests!!! Do quests! Youre already grinding, may as well get extra exp for it.
Pick mobs/maps you like over the ‘optimal’ ones.
Get a pet with autopot/autoloot. I was surprised how much more chill it made grinds.
Glad youre enjoying your experience I look forward to seeing more!

The grilled cheese with warrior pots as great. I also got a warrior set with +12 speed and a pair of shoes with +3 speed. I get 125% speed with speed pills.

And grinding quests are nice, it helps me a lot at exploring the world and revisiting monsters from my past

I felt the same. We have so much fast travel nawadays, it's nice to take a break and just ride a boat to orbis or lidibrium

i remember when i was playing ms as a kid and i had no idea how to do party pqs and where to level up and since item drops were rare as hell you literally had to be lucky to get an item

Ahh the pains of early 2nd job dit. It was a missed opportunity by the devs to not make double stab hit 2 mobs. They made lucky 7 the superior option for both damage and range so its a mystery why they didnt let stab have better mob count. It goes to show how bad the skill is that most people went sindit just to skip it all together lol
Good vid as always. Looking forward to your LPQ adventures

3:00, see you forget that savage blow looks way cooler than double stab. That’s all that mattered back then.
Loved the video, and I am right on board with the title. I have been playing kingdom come: deliverance recently, and how slow that game is, that 90% of my time is spent walking around. Maybe I’m just dumb lol.
Fall in love with just chilling, taking in the environment, getting a cool new shirt after 4 hours, slow burn is where its at.
Oh, I also softlocked myself in El Nath because I wanted to see what was at the bottom of Ludi tower as well. I heard it was icy and your character would slide across the floor, that sounded so cool.
I was 7 years old, and didn’t know how the FM or Storage keeper worked, and had no friends to bring me tp scrolls. That level 20 magician with a green starry cone hat is probably still stuck there to this day.
If you are chasing that feeling of childhood wonder in your video games, stop consuming content about games you’re interested in, and never look at any type of guidance material. Seriously, games like old school RuneScape with no outside help will seem like a massive world to you.
Right now I’m blind progging rabbit and steel on lunar difficulty, and it’s so much fun. My only resource is my own recording of my gameplay. I’m also an ultimate raider, and it feels like a rogue like version of ff14 savage.
Wow, this ended up being some word vomit of a comment, going on a bunch of different tangents. Sorry! Maybe you can relate to some of the stuff I said.
