The towers were so cool because you could see the north tower next door and see the scale of how huge they both were. Wish we could go back in time to the tranquil 90s before the horror.
Who knows, maybe we could have been up there at the exact same time. We might have seen each other and didn't even know it. That is kind of neat that knowing it was at least close.
@@josephfarrier3978 Hey fuck you asshole I don't think fellow Americans would do something that fucked up and awful. You are a worthless piece of shit too. 😡😡😡
Its strange seeing all of this, now it's weird knowing everything pictured is gone. I went to ground zero a couple summers ago and also went to the top of the freedom tower. It's an experience I'll never forget. You're lucky to have had this experience in your lifetime, and I'm glad people enjoyed it while they could.
I really miss the Twin Towers of World Trade Center from 9/11, because there were the highest skyscrapers in New York City. So everybody has to remember this terror attack in 2001.
I live in the UK and I remember the day they fell but I am in awe whenever I see old videos and pictures like this one. Must have been incredible to see them in person.
now that I’m pushing 40, it feels somewhat surreal having to describe the events of 9/11 to the new generation of young adults… it feels odd talking to someone who didn’t live through it…
Thank you so much for uploading these - this is the closest we can get to visiting these. I never made it to see these, and obviously, I never will now. This is how I'd like to remembering the towers.
Before 1993,anyone could just walk into towers 1&2 and take the elevators wherever they wanted. After the February 1993 bombing, everyone had to wait on line to check in with security. In my opinion, the freedom and thrill of the experience was gone.I still have 2 security passes with my photo on them and an old bill from a pager(beeper) company called pagenet.Sigh!!what memories
Life_as_I_know_it - Hi, and thanks for your reply. Yes, that is kind of eerie and odd that I said that. I actually never realized that I said it until you told me.
All the visiting twin tower vids on TH-cam mentioned airplane because the human mind instantly compares its height while being on a high level since planes fly height.. & being at great heights you automatically think about how would a fall from that height be nothing odd
Wow thanks for letting me see the world trade centre's i have always wanted to go to ground zero and remember them but im from scotland and it will never happen. I was going on holiday in september and all the planes got called off because of 9/11 so this is just memories that we should never forget
The view from here was really gorgeous! No comparism to the new one WTC. its not bad but standing on the roof is an other thing :-D And you can hear the RF energy in the sound recording
I see that helicopter platform on top of the tower and I keep wondering… I know they’ve tried landing there and couldn’t succeed and still… My memory of the top floor begins with a toy shop right next to the elevators and a lady that was there, attending it, she is THE face I think about when I think about the victims, I don’t know if she was working that day, I hope she wasn’t.
I know they were each 208x208 feet and over 1360 feet tall. But even knowing their dimensions and total square footage, even after seeing every picture and video I could find, I still never went there, and therefore will never truly be able to experience the scale of the twin towers.

Beautiful view. The designers of the new building should've built a rooftop outdoor observation deck. To keep the spirit of the old buildings alive.
That was impossible because the building was designed to include an antenna. Due to the radiation, an outdoor deck can't be built right next to it.
now that I’m pushing 40, it feels somewhat surreal having to describe the events of 9/11 to the new generation of young adults… it feels odd talking to someone who didn’t live through it…

Rotating door prevent smoke because they are always closed for air.
Keeps the cold air out in cold, and in warm days it keeps air conditioned from being lost.
