I bought a 125 Vespa GTS SuperSport from Casa Capo in Palma, Mallorca just over two years ago. Initially I was delighted, its perfect for short journeys, I can park it anywhere, looks great, fun to ride! I paid 5000 euros, comforted in the knowledge that’s its brand new from the main agent and “the Rolls Royce” of scooters. Since buying it I have had it serviced twice ahead of schedule by Casa Capo, covered less than 3,500k, kept it garaged and clean. Imagine my disappointment that one month outside the two-year warranty period there has apparently been a total ABS failure! To repair this is over 900 euros and having complained directly to Piaggio in Italy they offer no solution. As far as I am concerned this is a total failure of a major component that Piaggio should replace free of charge. The argument that this is outside warranty is ridiculous as due the ongoing Covid restrictions I wasn’t able to travel, identify and deal with this within two years. I have friends who have bought 1000 euro Chinese copies that don’t have these problems! Piaggio---please sort this out!
It’s just their way of making extra money bro. Just like apple they want you to buy their another products. It’s defect is some say is deliberate. Vespa was great. WAS. But it’s just a lifestyle brand now.
