ANGELS OF THE NIGHT. It's well gone 10.30, with the pubs in full swing; our 'Paramed Angels', wonder what the shift will bring. The calls are so many, the place has gone wild; with blood from a stabwoumd; or a mew-born child. Like a cry in the night the siren calls; responding to pleas, as the life sign falls. "Keep clear, and make way our Parameds are on the way". With their blues and twos, amd dressed all in green; their race to save lives is so often seen. Battling through traffic, they move beween lanes; their race to the patient, who's wrapped up in pain. Through back streets or motorway, the mercy dash goes on; with a Policecar for escort, we view the comotion. The drumks and the phone geeks, they get in the way; just move to the left there, it might be for you some dsy. With the race nearly over, and the hospital in sight let's say a well done, for our 'Angels of the Night'. BY JACK D. HARRISON. 31-JANUARY-2023.
I live in Cambridgeshire uk 🇬🇧 I cannot understand all the fuss is about, many times I unfortunately had to call for a Ambulance with in less than a hour there here always with a very helpful manager and very friendly to we have the very best service in Cambridgeshire and hospitals to I hope it was okay to say Thankyou Ambulance service
Racket, racket, racket. Have these bastard things going past my house sometimes late at night, no traffic, but whaling sirens going. Not the brightest sparks to be racket sirens at say 1am in the morning?. Do you really need to do that, no, so bloody dont.
Sometimes it's better to wait and hold back then risk causing a collision as traffic moves into a dangerous area (such as a junction). Of course different calls have different levels of priority and need for siren and lights also.
@@CobraEmergency Even though I composed the poem here, I still get a weird feeling in my guts when I see/hear an ambulance rushing through traffic. It comes from the bad RTA I had in 1993.
I wish we had Ford Mustang police cars, did you know they were trialled in 2016 but of course they didn't go through with it, and now in 2020 we are stuck with stupid vauxhall astras :(
@@maretosevska1354 Well they aren't very powerful or aggressive, we need police cars like Ford Interceptor Utilities and Ford Mustangs to roam the streets of Britain and charge down the criminals in style.
They were not trialled, Ford just provide demos for a variety of reasons. Just like the Raptor - that will never be widely used and only exists because a force bought it after Ford demoed it. Astras do the job and are good little workhorses. Nothing like a Mustang would ever replace them.
this is a first for me I all ways think that a Ambulance always speed up in a emergency I had no idea that a Ambulance all so slow down in a emergency, you have a 40 mile and hour zone and the Ambulance was not even doing 30 miles and hour with nothing at all to impede that Ambulance the road was clear, that is one of the reason that people have a problem with authority, they make laws that do not make any common sense at all, a emergency to my logical thinking I always think that it is a race agains time, if the Ambulance is travelling so slow how does that classify as a emergency.if that is how all these Ambulance operate no wonder so much people die before they reach hospital.
to me this is just stupidity the Ambulance is on a main road the road is empty there is nothing at all to impede that Ambulance and the Ambulance is driving slow in a 40 miles zone, my hold idea of emergency is some thing critical and race against time, you have on emergency light and you are driving slow and taking you own time you do not consider other road user that they have some where to go, I know that you have delicate patients but by the time the Ambulance reach where it is going that patients would be in a worst condition people that is in authority see them self as supernatural and above the law, I do not see it that way we are all equal if your are a police you are a public servant so why is a conversation with the police always one sided you give respect to get respect not because you have on a uniform it is only you alone that is expected to speaks, you never want to hear another person point a view there are no open communication with people that is in authority and the general public it is just you do as you are told are you be arrested.

Apparently the 1994 World Rally Championship winner Didier Auriol was a former ambulance driver. These guys do a great job.

Why should police forces get Mustangs? BMW’s are already loved by RPU alongside Skoda & other vehicles, so I doubt Mustang would be needed by them.
