Thanks, Tomo. It's hard to state how helpful this lesson is. And I don't even understand half of it, at least without thinking about it, let alone being able to play it by tomorrow. I urge everyone interested in the blues to take a look. I've been working on your three string triad lesson. Both the idea of singing Do Me So, Root 3 5, and the note names. Browsing your message board on Guitar Wisdom, two members suggested two sites that opened my eyes to something. The C and G shapes are 1 - 3 - 1 on the key unbarred frets. While for D, A, and E shapes it's always 5 - 1 - 3. Hope this is right. If so, while I'm trying to hear Do Me So, I grew up as a trumpet player, one note, read. Knowing this pattern helps me. There are so many paths through the forest, and we all start from different places. Especially older learners. Guitar Wisdom seems to be good balance of teacher, method, and community. This lesson wasn't different from TH-cam and without TH-cam I wouldn't have been able to follow as much as I did. I greatly like you Three Levels Video. But this seemed different somehow. A way of integrating theory and practice in a context many of us have heard a million times. Which seems to be related to your comment about graduating from Berklee and not knowing how to play the blues. I'll be joining Guitar Wisdom. Thanks for the freebie.

This is basically a full guitar test, nothing needs to be added. Because, ........make one thing clear to you: If a company can build a guitar without rattling the frets, which is easy to play, does not get out of tune (ok - locking tuner) and is simply fun without an amp. And by the way - looks nice and well built........ How "bad" can the pickups be ?????!!!! The neck and the frets are the heart of the guitar .......

And music is there to comfort us when we are low in spirit. There is a song out there for every mood - every situation. Music has always been there for me when others were not. For some reason, I feel like I don't really trust the Cort brand. But after watching your video I was like "Maybe...maybe 2nd choice". Also I want to find a GBSPro Telecaster, mainly because it's cheap.
I’m the greatest. I know. --- If I’m taking my guitar on a trip, assuming I’m not going to be able to hand over my guitar to cabin crew to store until landing-I’ve done this with odd items by the way-if I pack it like that, gig bag in a box with bubble wrap and other basics like putting a cloth under the strings-that it’s fine like that to check in with my luggage? --- First few times with my locking tuners, they busted the strings. But now it’s alright. ---- I recently tuned down a half step to learn ‘Pride and Joy’ by SRV, and it was screwing with my mind a little bit.
I seem to have missed the review of the guitar part. Guitar spec's, pluses and minuses, comparison to other guitars in it's price range and value for the price.

YAY, is the sister of my guitar. I got a 280DX Nordic Night, took me some time to get it, got it from France and I love it. The only problem I had was that these guys sent it without the tremolo bar and I have not been able to get somebody at Cort or the original store to send me one or tell me where I can get one that fits, I tried with one from a friends guitar and was really loose. Any ideas who can I contact Sensei? Or what tremolo type /size would work with my guitar?

I might sell my Ibanez AZ and get that instead. I just can't get rid of the gass for single coils. Mine is HH. It's in perfect shape. No dings or scratches. The fret ends are smooth and the neck looks more like the necks on the Prestige AZs even though it's a premium AZ line. All the hardwares work like they should and the pickups are nice. And no fret wares, since it has the stainless steel frets. I bought it for $1200 and I'm selling it for $800. Hit me up in this thread if anyone is interested. I'm putting it out for 800$ One tip for stretching the strings. Change strings one at a time, and tune it up one step higher than the string is meant to be and leave it until you put the next string on. For example, if you change the low E string, tune it up to F# and leave it till you put the A string on. Then, tune the E string down to E, and tune the A string to B. Repeat the same thing for the rest of the strings. You will have perfectly stretched strings by the time you've put all 6 strings on.
