    I had a TJ for 10 yrs. Sold it for something more commuter friendly. Came across this video by chance a month ago and now there's a 2017 Jk unlimited sitting in the driveway. Thanks! Funny how happy a vehicle can make you. AEV parts inbound.

    Amazing video! Special kudos to the videographer! Our family did these trails two summers ago just after I got the 2.5 AEV lift installed. Handled like a dream and can't wait to go back!

    That was a awesome video guys! And it shows that 4x4's don't have to tear the trail or land apart in order to have fun 4x4ing! Well done..

    I really like they way the whole group respected the area they travelled by not tearing it up with dumbass antics. Keep it pristine so others can enjoy it as much as we do!.. Nice..

    This is so beautiful...I’d love to take my Jeep there. I’d rather be on an less technical trail and and just admire the amazing rugged country side and mountains. I would love to join an AEV outing in the near future. This looks so fun!

      We've been to Colorado chasing trains for years but never went on a trail ride with the jeep. I just might have to plan a ride this year! Husband and I could live in Colorado. Breckinridge, Ouray, Silverton any of those would work! HA!

    Well shot video, but lagged actual off roading. Those roads are completed by 2WD cars.. they are considered "County Roads" While a little sketchy in places, they aren't really tough to wheel. I'd like to see those rigs doing some step-ups and crawlin' !!!

    Great video. What size tires and lifts are you AEV guys using?

    • @AmericanExpeditionVehicles
      @AmericanExpeditionVehicles  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The vehicles on this trip ranged from 3.5" DualSport Suspension on 35s to 4.5" DualSport Suspension on 37s.

    • @Cbarnes281Strkd
      @Cbarnes281Strkd 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      American Expedition Vehicles do you guys upgrade the driveline when you guys use the 3.5” lift?

    • @AmericanExpeditionVehicles
      @AmericanExpeditionVehicles  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We still utilize the stock drive shafts without issue. 4.10s work great with the 3.5 on 35s and we do 4.56 on 37s.

    @TytheBandit 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    What size tires on those Jeeps? Just bought a Rubicon U 2015 and am looking to get the 3.5 lift. Optimal tire size?

    • @AmericanExpeditionVehicles
      @AmericanExpeditionVehicles  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +TytheBandit With our DualSport SC or RS 3.5" lift we recommend 35" tires. Most of the trucks in this video have 35" tires on a 3.5" lift - some have 4.5" lift with 37" tires.

    • @neocorricon
      @neocorricon 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +TytheBandit If you ever aspire to the Rubicon, I would recommend 37 or 40. Otherwise, 35 will do fine for the vast majority of off-roading. You can do Rubicon with 35, but be prepared for bumper contact and possible breakage underneath (low chance, but it happens)

    • @TytheBandit
      @TytheBandit 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Neo Corricon yeah I hear stock is bottom of barrel on the rubicon. Prepare for some damage so invest in the front end with a lift and tires.

  • @jeep970
    @jeep970 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    LOL thought you boys were going wheeling ...smiling didn't see anywhere my wife kia sorento could go, where you all went....i guess you don't want to break or get them dirty...Later, Gary

    • @AmericanExpeditionVehicles
      @AmericanExpeditionVehicles  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      The trails in Southern Colorado are not extremely technical as they are scenic. There are definitely places only a 4x4 should venture but there are also places that offer an easy terrain. The goal of this trip was not to show the most difficult wheeling there is, it is about the adventure and taking in some of the most breathtaking views in the country all while doing in comfortably in an AEV upfit Jeep Wrangler. I think if you took a Kia out there, it might be an expensive tow to get it back into town.

  • @lrgman1313

    I would buy a Jeep, if it didn't have to many mechanical and electrical issues! I was watching another Jeep video and the owner complain about overheating issues during his adventures.

      +Gage Davis Same thing could be said about driving a Subaru on a perfectly plain road, or a dirt bike down town, or wear hiking boots on a clean sidewalk, etc... Who the fuck cares? Just because you lift a vehicle and put larger tires on it doesn't mean you can't drive on easy trails...
