Are you planning to put that back into the hive? You need to ensure that any mites are dead. Freeze the frame for a couple days before using it again. Let the birds clean it up too.

You're right! I don't put them back in the hive until after they've been in my deep freezer for at least a week 😊.

To each their own, the Varroa Destructor mite is a huge issue and I try to use less chemicals in my hives when possible.

You must have not seen other peoples videos of them sucking up 50 bees and drowning them in alcohol. I’d rather do this method.
