Street corn usually has mayonnaise on it, with chili powder and cilantro (and often sour cream). Take a look at recipes for elotes. Standard ingredient. :)
the street corn. Was garnished with sour cream as a substitute for 'crema' Mexican sour cream. Sometimes 'street corn' is served with little bits of mexican crumbling cheese.....like feta cheese. It's very traditional.
Pete mocking Corey in the background was hilarious! What a shocker that you finally had a good meal at boatwrights! Someone let the chef know! No ce to see that they offer gluten free options too.
I associate street corn with Mexico, lol. Grilled corn covered with lime juice, mayonaise (or crema), queso fresco, and chile powder. Love your dining reviews because I know you will tell us the honest truth of just how it is!
Yes, that is correct. That is street corn - Mexican style, and they use sour cream. Which would normally be totally fine, but this is a Southern/Cajun/Creole/New Orleans type of restaurant, and as far as I know they do NOT put sour cream on their corn. So this really makes no sense for them to service this particular item at this restaurant. I would ask them to give me some butter on the side.
Yep, sour cream on street corn is a thing. It's heavier in Texas street corn , but we have seen sour cream on corn on cob with Tony Chachere seasoning around NOLA.
Mexicans, we add Mayo to our corn. Or how is referred to now in most restaurants “street corn”. We usually spread mayo, chili powder, lemon and Cotija cheese. But that did not look like street corn
PETE YOU CRACK ME UP...BRUTAL HONESTY ALWAYS...I ATE THERE WHEN I STAYED TWICE BEFORE...IT WAS OK AND I WAS HUNGRY...DIDNT WANT TO BUS OUT SO.....BUT I HAVE HAD WORSE ON PROPERTY FOR SURE....GREAT REVIEW
The street corn should actually been labeled Mexican Street corn which traditionally has a crema on it and some Mexican cheese that is kind of like Parm. They didn’t do a great job with that part of the meal description
Ate there for the first time on their reopening night in December 2021. The Amelia Salad and Shrimp and grits were amazing. I also had fantastic service.
Great to hear about Boatwrights! I remember my friend that I brought for her very first Disney vaca was at this hotel . She has many allergies and their quick-serve was SO accommodating. She felt so HEARD for the first time in her 70 yr old life.
It’s exciting that this restaurant looks to have turned it around solely for the fact that it gives my wife and I a reason to hang at Port Orleans Riverside for a few hours. Love that property.
When my family ate here on our 2010 trip, Boatwright's was hands down the surprise gem among our many sit-down meals. I've been disheartened to hear so many bad reviews about this restaurant in the past few years, so this mostly positive review cheered me up. Thanks for giving it a chance.
Very annoying when Pete is mocking Fiasco when he speaks. It’s not humorous if that is the desired effect. Instead comes across foolish and childish tbh.
I remember when that resort opened, my wife and I came down for a five day quick visit. I remember they were three room rates depending on where your room overlooked we were being cheap and got parking lot view first floor and paid $69.99 per night, I guess you can tell how far back I go with this resort L O L. My memories of Boatwright‘s we’re over breakfast, the skillet bowlsWith all sorts of goodies from andouille sausage to basted eggs. I’d love to see them opening up for breakfast again with some really interesting New Orleans style breakfast. I’m so glad they’ve turned around as I have very fond memories of that resort.
Looking forward to trying Boatwrights again one day. Never impressed before. I do love how so many restaurants on property accommodate dietary concerns. Learned that few years back when a friend joined me. Majority of the restaurants are so willing to help. Fun dining review.
Disney Dining. It seems that as hotel's and restaurants have re-opened since covid a lot of effort has gone into upgrading the dining experience around the property. And every place the "Dining Crew" eat at everyone overall seems pleasantly surprised with their meals. Good to know. Cheers, Chris Perry.
I think when you are reviewing restaurants at resorts it’s worth noting a bit about the resort that makes it worth visiting to eat. The restaurant there is next to a grab and go cafe with dessert options. A short walk along the river or ferry ride brings you to French Quarter with beautiful gardens and fountains to explore plus delicious beignets to eat. Yee Haw Bob Jackson performs in the bar next door. The grounds of Riverside are stunning to meander with the mansions, and you can even take a horse drawn carriage ride. They rent bikes and Surrey bikes there, and you can take a ferry to or from Disney Springs.
WOW, I didn't expect the tables to finally turn! I always took y'all's advice to never go here, but now I'll consider it sometime! Glad things have changed for the better! Now let's see if Turf Club still sucks! LOL Also, I'd love to see an updated list of worst restaurants in Disney World episode! Taste buds and times do change!
LOVE the title Pete! I have been watching you guys for YEARS and that has been a long running gag. Honestly, I am writing this as you are doing your intro and my hope is - It sucks!
I’m so glad you have changed your mind about this place! My husband and I ate here in 2018 and we really enjoyed it. And sour cream on corn is actually a very common thing for street corn actually…..haha. I get it that it’s not for everyone though.
So glad to hear this! We absolutely love ❤️ Port Orleans, but have never eaten at the restaurant due to your reviews. We will give it a chance on our next visit. Great to know that the one weak element of this beautiful resort has finally turned the corner.
That’s awesome…. Riverside is an amazing resort - have stayed there many many times, and knew back in the 90s when it was new- it was awful. Glad they figure it out all these years later
So glad to hear Boatwrights was a good choice for you. I was just looking at restaurants menus and dining options while dreaming of a Disney Vacation here in cold Michigan. I was looking at all the things Pete ordered and glad it was a good meal for all of you.
That made me laugh out loud. Though I wonder how Pete would react if the tables were turned. It won't happen because he's the boss. Still I would like to see it but I'm not sure if anybody else is as genuinely funny as Pete.
Pete’s reactions while Corey was talking were very funny. But sometimes they just over do it with the way they treat Corey. I especially see it with Craig and Ryno, who aren’t in this video, but with those two they just show you that they find Corey irritating more than I think is appropriate. They treat Corey like he is beneath them. You don’t have to like everyone, but I would like to see Corey treated with more respect. He is a person. Thanks Dis team ✌️
Not sure where this take is coming from considering we are barely in videos with Fiasco. At most some friendly jabs have been made, but that’s the extent. Fiasco works his ass off, even when in recovery from a medical issue, served the country in the Navy and is a genuinely kind person. Please don’t stir the pot over things that you infer from watching videos.
@@DisneyDining I think the overall point the two folks are making is that Pete has some bullying tendencies, primarily with Corey. I see it every time I see Pete interact with DIS staff and it’s sad. Working with Give Kids the World and buying things for DIS staff doesn’t give someone the right to treat people poorly. Obviously no one will speak up about it because he is their source of income/career. I wish Pete would be nicer to his staff but as we learn all the time: the person on the top of the totem pole can essentially do whatever they want. Which is sad because Corey, Craig, Ryno, etc are amazing and deserve to be treated well.
We were there in February and to be blunt, it was awe full. We have eaten there on prior occasions with lackluster results and decided to give it one more try. Well we did! Not again. Prime rib was prime fat, the jambalaya was fair to say the least. Service was so so. Overpriced for what we ordered regarding the taste
I have never seen this TH-cam channel before. This was my first time and I subscribed immediately for two reasons......1...I love Disney and anything about Disney interests me, especially the restaurants and 2...I laughed my butt off at Pete in the background. I'm alone watching this and am actually cracking up out loud.
I'm oddly super happy for this review. I've had one AMAZING meal at Boatwrights and a decent meal there and actually felt bad about folks' (especially Pete's) opinions, experiences, and feelings of this fun place. Fun show.
Thanks, guys! I'm adding Boatwrights to my list for our May trip! Oh, how I wish you guys would do Maya Grill again? I'm staying at Gran Destino in May and it would help to know if it has improved.
I had to cross my legs so I wouldn’t pee myself laughing at Pete. The close up with the zing nearly finished me 🤣😂🤣. Please keep doing group dining reviews. Love seeing the very busy Sean and Pete with Fiasco and Haley 💜. So happy to hear Boatwrights cleaned up their food game. Speaking as a native New Orleanian I can vouch for Coreys review on House of Blues. We tried both the red beans and jambalaya and it’s definitely not what we serve here. The only thing we liked at the House of Blues were the appetizer nachos.
So sorry. Can't give this restaurant a great review this time. Have eaten there a number of a times over the last 24 years. At there yesterday, Feb. 17th, 2022. Both I and my guest ordered the "All You Care to Eat Platter". The Ugly: The beans were virtually raw and inedible unless you like eating raw beans. Told the waitress. Then received a 2nd order. Same quality. Asked for salt and pepper. Waitress brought both. Had to call her back because . . . there were no peppercorns in the pepper mill. A pepper mill doesn't work well with nothing in it. The Bad: The food came out barely warm. The mashed potatoes were cold. The little corn cob was over cooked. The chicken was overbreaded. The Good: We got in on time. The waitress was pleasant and funny and we did leave a 20% tip for her. Not her fault about the food or pepper. The sausages were tasty. Remember the days, long ago, when I got a great meal at BoatWright's. A filet mignon wrapped in bacon. Oh well, like the hair on my head, things were of more quality decades ago. Would I go back there? Probably not. Just my experience, as a resident of Orlando, an Annual Passholder, and a Vacation Club member since 1993. Swallow all of that Bob Chapek. And have a Disney kind of day.
Watching Pete while Fiasco talks is priceless. Pete you are my spirit animal 🤣
that was funny
I agree!
@Hillery Parker, indeed! Next to my beloved Mickey Mouse, Pete is a close second!😜🥰
Pete should be in the background of every review. Hilarious!
Why is the wait staff dressed like they're all extras from Little House on the Prairie?? 😂
Pete in the background behind Fiasco is the best. hahahaha! 🤣
Street corn usually has mayonnaise on it, with chili powder and cilantro (and often sour cream). Take a look at recipes for elotes. Standard ingredient. :)
Pete making fun of Corey was totally worth my time, let alone knowing that I can finally eat at Boatwrights
Came here to say this
Hahaha
It’s unprofessional
I hit the like button after he did that
the street corn. Was garnished with sour cream as a substitute for 'crema' Mexican sour cream. Sometimes 'street corn' is served with little bits of mexican crumbling cheese.....like feta cheese. It's very traditional.
Cotija cheese... tastes nothing like feta though.
Fiasco, don’t let Pete sit by you anymore! Haha
Pete mugging for the camera was great 🤣
I wait for the faces Pete makes while Fiasco is describing his salad..ZING! Hysterical....🤣😂
Pete making faces at Fiasco was the best part of this video.
It was soooooooo entertaining
Pete's giving the restaurant a chance.
Giving his loyal employees a hard time.
Technically, it's pronounced 'boo-dan', not 'boo-deen'. Glad the meal was finally good at Boatwright's! Loved Pete making faces behind Cory.
With a soft “n”, as in “and” without the d.
Omg, Pete had me cracking up with his faces behind Cory lol
Pete mocking Corey in the background was hilarious! What a shocker that you finally had a good meal at boatwrights! Someone let the chef know! No ce to see that they offer gluten free options too.

Sour cream!! Yes!! On corn!! With cheese and chili spice!
Yep, sour cream on street corn is a thing. It's heavier in Texas street corn , but we have seen sour cream on corn on cob with Tony Chachere seasoning around NOLA.
Omg,Pete your hysterical.I just love you.😘
Drinking game, take a shot every time the word phenomenal is used🍷🍷🍷. Love the reviews!
Pete's mocking faces of Fiasco was hilarious 😂
Traditionally speaking... street corn is typically covered in sour cream or crema or even mayo.
I’m sorry but Pete lol … you had me cracking up!!!! That’s was so dang funny 😆!!!The faces omg
I love when the gang praises the servers and cast members! Can't went to try this place!
Glad Corey liked his dish, but that was no Jambalaya... love, Louisiana
Thank you for another great review. Sounds like good value for the $35 all you can eat platter.
Yay! It’s Pete! 😀
Mexicans, we add Mayo to our corn. Or how is referred to now in most restaurants “street corn”. We usually spread mayo, chili powder, lemon and Cotija cheese. But that did not look like street corn
lots of street corn receipts have sour cream as an ingredient
PETE YOU CRACK ME UP...BRUTAL HONESTY ALWAYS...I ATE THERE WHEN I STAYED TWICE BEFORE...IT WAS OK AND I WAS HUNGRY...DIDNT WANT TO BUS OUT SO.....BUT I HAVE HAD WORSE ON PROPERTY FOR SURE....GREAT REVIEW
Is Maya Grill open at Coronado Springs? Could you review that? Love this show!
The sweater Pete is wearing is very complementary. I would like one myself.
This food honestly seems right up my alley. Can we please get these waitresses better dresses/outfits?
Pete in the corner made me laugh so loud I woke up the dog. Great review, guys!
The street corn should actually been labeled Mexican Street corn which traditionally has a crema on it and some Mexican cheese that is kind of like Parm. They didn’t do a great job with that part of the meal description
Pete was hilarious! Love his “video-bombing” of Fiasco’s reviews! Glad to see some good news associated with Disney, finally!
I'm glad Pete gave it another chance with an open mind. Shows he is honest when he said would keep an open mind.
My cajun heart when Pete says "Boodean". 💔🤣 It's "boo-dan". Love ya Pete!
Great dining review video! Glad you all had a great meal. Pete making faces behind Corey was everything!!
Nice sweater, Pete!! 😀
Great review! Pete is hilarious 😂
Loved watching Pete with Corey! Glad y'all had a good meal!
I guess I’m the only one who doesn’t find Pete’s ‘reaction’ to Corey’s review funny
Yup it’s awful
Pete trolling Corey during his review was priceless 🤣
Ate there for the first time on their reopening night in December 2021. The Amelia Salad and Shrimp and grits were amazing. I also had fantastic service.
Sour cream on street corn is a thing in Mexican and some Tex-Mex. Actually, it would most likely be Crema which is a Mexican version of sour cream.
Yes! That was NOT street corn!!! 😂
Love that sweater on you Pete! Looking good 👍
Great to hear about Boatwrights! I remember my friend that I brought for her very first Disney vaca was at this hotel . She has many allergies and their quick-serve was SO accommodating. She felt so HEARD for the first time in her 70 yr old life.
Enjoyed the review. It was nice to get more than one opinion too!
It’s exciting that this restaurant looks to have turned it around solely for the fact that it gives my wife and I a reason to hang at Port Orleans Riverside for a few hours. Love that property.

Sweet tea sorbet sounds so unique that I would have to try that.
I ate here in January and really liked it.
LOL Pete in the background.
Pete was in a very good, playful mood! I don't know what Corey said, cuz I was laughing so hard! 😂
Whoa! Hell frozen over… Pete likes Boatwrights!
Very annoying when Pete is mocking Fiasco when he speaks. It’s not humorous if that is the desired effect. Instead comes across foolish and childish tbh.
Yeah he’s a bully but he’s the boss so he can do whatever he wants
It’s the “zing” for me! 😂🤣
Great review. Pete was quite entertaining

Can we have more 2-shots of Pete and Fiasco when Cory is doing his reviews??? 😂
Great to hear it's taken a tunr for the better..I'll def think about giving it a try next trip

Pete - you are hilarious.
We stayed at Riverside many times up until 4-5 years ago and had many delicious meals at Boatwrites then.
LOVE the title Pete! I have been watching you guys for YEARS and that has been a long running gag. Honestly, I am writing this as you are doing your intro and my hope is - It sucks!
This gives me hope for 2022

All-you-care-to-endure platter 🤣🤣🤣
Hahahaha
Great review as always
That made me laugh out loud. Though I wonder how Pete would react if the tables were turned. It won't happen because he's the boss. Still I would like to see it but I'm not sure if anybody else is as genuinely funny as Pete.
The best street corn can be found in Animal Kingdom near Kilimanjaro Safaris. Should be cogito cheese not sour cream.
Right on! Can't believe you liked it. I'm heading there in June!
Glad to hear about the gluten free options 👍🏻
We ate at Boatwright's a few weeks ago. Awesome dinner! I loved the shrimp and grits!!
🤷🏻♀️ We never had an issue with Boatwright’s. One of our favorites places to eat.
Love Pete, and the sweater was great
Even though I'll never go back to Disney World I am still subscribed to this channel due to Pete Best's review.

a very very very long time ago this restaurant was good then you all are correct it took a dive down. i can't wait to go back and try it again.
I'm oddly super happy for this review. I've had one AMAZING meal at Boatwrights and a decent meal there and actually felt bad about folks' (especially Pete's) opinions, experiences, and feelings of this fun place. Fun show.
Can we get a power ranking of Pete's favorite servers? Seems like he loves everyone he meets
“Street Corn” is not a New Orleans thing. It’s a Mexican/Latin thing aka “elotes”. Also being from New Orleans, the hell is a Mardi Gras fritter?!
Thanks, guys! I'm adding Boatwrights to my list for our May trip! Oh, how I wish you guys would do Maya Grill again? I'm staying at Gran Destino in May and it would help to know if it has improved.
We’re staying at Coronado now and ate at Maya Grill. We really enjoyed it!
y'all wrong for that "zing" zoom in on Pete hahahahhahaaaahaa
You have got to add a warning to these videos. We laughed so loudly at Pete's antics we almost woke up the kids. 🙂
Glad Fiasco enjoyed her salad 🤣
Would love to see a Three Bridges review soon with their updated menu!

Asked for salt and pepper. Waitress brought both. Had to call her back because . . . there were no peppercorns in the pepper mill. A pepper mill doesn't work well with nothing in it.

The chicken was overbreaded.
The Good:
We got in on time.
Haley you look great! Slim!
Thank you!!
No cornbread at the table? It was sooo good pre-covid. Next time ask to sit upstairs near the fireplace. Really charming.
Love the jumper Pete
