Meanwhile, the tortoise kept moving at a slow and steady pace. Eventually, the tortoise passed the sleeping rabbit and continued toward the finish line. When the rabbit woke up and saw the tortoise near the end, he dashed to catch up but was too late. The tortoise crossed the finish line first, proving that slow and steady wins the race.
