    Stevie Ray talking a lot of crap lol... Harlem Heat were great but LoD in their prime were the much more fearsome duo. I mean c'mon, Harlem won the WCW title 10 times but it was against the likes of The American Males and Public Enemy...

    • @USSOBRIEN
      @USSOBRIEN 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They can't help how they were booked. And you must be pretty biased to take 1 look at Ron Simmons & Butch Reed/Stevie Ray's matches and to say they were not fearsome. They said that in the WCW, The Steiners used to rib everybody, but they would take 1 look at Ron Simmons and keep moving. And they never ribbed him or Stevie Ray. I mean, Stevie Ray shot on Vader, one of the most legit bad-asses in pro wrestling history. TBH WCW's tag team scene was iconic. You can't say who really were the best tag of that era, The Road Warriors, The Steiner Brothers, Harlem Heat, Arn and Tully, it'd be hard as hell to look at all of their body of work as a whole and say who was best.

      @@roninkraut6873 yeah he did. My Rpac, which was the lead recruit in Navy boot camp, was an ex Florida St. recruit and he was cut up & knew 4 martial arts disciplines and evidently he didn't make it because he was in Navy boot camp. So taking that into account, I KNOW Ron Simmons had to have been a 1 in a generation type athlete meaning the majority of people in the states couldn't hang with him physically.

By each doing a overhead press of there opponents....slamming them at the same time! Everybody wanted to see them take on the Free Birds! They were arrogant...but hard to deal with! Powerful! Very Powerful! But we’re very nice to us fans! Milkman Muligan. AWA wrestler Jake the milkman! Only match he ever won....was an unexpected curl up and pin of.......Bobby Henan! The Crowd went NUTS! Harlem Heat was a good tag team..but when comparing how great it depends on your point of view. Road Warriors were the bigger team, but being a young black kid, it was amazing to see a serious, GOOD, black tag team that didn't lose all the time. Both teams were great, but for different reasons. But as for legacy, LOD has that hands down.

AWA, WWF/WWE and NWA I started watching soon after. When they all share their stories and experiences in videos of shoots about careers and experiences with other wrestlers it's informing. You hear different versions from different wrestlers. Brings back wonderful memories of the good ole wrestling memories.

    It's almost erie and sad to hear Hawk and Animal talking about how they wanted to retire. It's kind of a sad reality when you think a few years later, Hawk is dead because of drugs and Animal passes away abruptly of God only knows what. You often think what could have been had Hawk cleaned up his life sooner and LOD would have gone on to many great things.
