  • Four touchdowns of 40-plus yards and nine plays of 15 yards or more showcased Ohio State's offensive explosiveness against Marshall.
It was all set up by Ohio State's running game, with the Buckeyes gashing the Thundering Herd for 280 yards on the ground at a rate of nine yards per carry. The superstar running back tandem of Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson combined for 249 yards and four touchdowns on just 20 carries.
Elsewhere, defense and special teams were a mixed bag. The impact of Tyleik Williams' absence was felt on the defensive line as the Buckeyes weren’t as disruptive as they had been in the defensive trenches. The Buckeyes also had some issues with pass coverage over the middle and the quarterback run, but OSU ultimately held the Herd to 14 points and 264 yards, with 203 of those yards and all 14 points coming in the first half.
Jayden Fielding had an unusually awful performance on kickoffs for the Buckeyes, booting three out of bounds in a row before getting replaced by walk-on Austin Snyder. Brandon Inniss had a muffed punt erased by an illegal formation penalty but did respond with a nice 21-yard return that might have gone for much more if he hadn't slipped.
Eleven Warriors' Andy Anders and Dan Hope discuss all of that and more on After Carmen, our postgame show from Ohio Stadium recapping Ohio State’s 49-14 win over Marshall.

Loved seeing a running back on each side of Howard before that touchdown.
