God gave both of them a gift from above. Laura took hers and practiced, honed it, sang every day for the Grace of God. It's not easy to hold high notes, to control your voice, and when to just sing. To learn to hear the other voices and harmonize. God gives us all gifts, you use for His glory. Laura and her sister have grandparents and parents that constantly pray, and ask the Lord to keep them, protect them ,show them the road that is for His Glory.
