I admit it was a long ass shopping trip, and my wife and I stopped and ate, but I wasn't expecting that. He just went around fighting everything in Junon he could find while picking up everything on the ground and unlocking the towers. I really wish I'd had the fortification and time, but I'm still happy

Currently im running the chadleys brutal vr missions. Ive looked into some builds but I have a build i am ysing that seems to do very well. Three characters starting with Cloud as leader, Aerith and Yuffie. Clouds Matteria Build is the Petrify, Magnify, MP Absorb, magic efficiency. I also put ATB Stagger, ATB Assist, First Strike, Limit Syphon, Atb boost, and Precision Defense. The ATB Boost is used start of battle This gives him two full bars at the start of Battle, thr ATB boost allows him to get a second large quake spell within seconds. This will give you 2x quake, with magnify on each, and your mp never moving by utalizing thid build with arcane ward. Aerith Materia Build; Synergy Comet, Heal (in case), Revive, Limit Support, Mp up, ATB boost, with Chocobo Cloak to give her 1 ATB bar starting, with ATB boost immediately active starting battle, after activating Clouds. This sequence is important because your going to quick access Quake level 3, after laying down arcane ward on cloud... Followed by ATB Ward on Yuffie... Yuffie Materia Set Up: Fire and Ice linked to, Magnify, Fire linked to MP Absorb, Time linked to Magnify, Time linked to Swiftcast, Time linked to Magic Focus x2, and first strike. Atb stagger if i have the slot to spare... I will first use Yuffie to cast Stop on the enemies. Immediately followed up by cloud activating ATB boost, and then Aerith doing the ATB boost, immediately Aerith casts arcane ward on cloud, use L2 to quick menu cloud quake level 3, this will give you two of those bad boys, now ATB ward Yuffie before switching to her (this process flows like water when you get it down.) once on yuffie we start building atb which should be super quick thanks to tge ATB ward. once you gain a full guage doppelganger x2, then build atb to one cast Stop again and build your ATB with yuffie to two bars and jumo into the arcane wars and cast maximed firaga magnified and watch as her doppelgangers also do the same... But be sure ro switch to Cloud and start building ATB bars again but by now your ATB boost should be able to activate again, your going to activate it and build to two atb and jump in arcane ward and nuke them again. This works super well on all fights, but there are a few you will need to adjust to not manify stop or you stop your whole party. If you have Clouds 30pt folio Limit gauge build thats going ro also be a life saver as it will build his limit guage extremely quick. In emergency situations you can syphon Yuffies limit and equipping cloud with the enhanced expadition medal you can get hid finishing touch off to deal some quick last moment damage you may need. 😉 Good luck soldier.
Something fun you can try is play Cloud on Classic mode on any difficulty except Hard. Equip both auto attack purple materia and set your command shortcuts to what you like. Let the AI fight and watch him pull off perfect parrys & blocks. When his ATB fills up he'll use one of the shortcut actions. I had enemy skill materia and used combat settings for Firebolt, Plasma Discharge, Sonic Boom and any sword ability you unlocked like Disorder.
Yuffie with enemy skill materia, mug, and doppelganger is insane...I don't even need Tifa to increase stagger multiplier and most is 1 stagger phase...Yuffie gets up instantly with a skill, can use any element in attack, range, speed, and they can't get you off them...
The AP up in chapter 3 mythril mine can be missed. When you come to a point where you can drop down to a crystalline crab, go right instead. You can see it across the way but if you jump down, you can’t go back up.
Maginify is still broke with aga spells by the looks of it. If you have multiple enemies right next to each other, they will all take the dmg from each others splash.

In Corel Prison idk what chapter that is, but you can always come back once you unlocked the place. It now goes by the name of Dustbowl or something but I just call it by its original name
The auto materias are a complete waste of a slot. You can almost completely freeze time and quickly activate these abilities when you need them exactly and save the slot. It will also screw you over if you're planning on using that atb for something else. The only viable one is auto-unique on Barret as his overcharge has no indication that its ready if you're not using him.
Anyone know if you can still double pair materia? Like Magnify and Healing then Autocast and a second Healing so Aerith will auto heal whole party. I remember it working like that in Remake.

@@Kspice9000 yes, it will only do one. There are ways to use that for advantage though. I should have used a better example before. Like change ice to cure. In a situation where it would make sense for them to use fire or cure it will use whatever is on the left. So you want cure to be paired with the left most joined slots. Then if you don’t need to be cured they will cast fire. If you have fire on the left pair they will always cast fire because it’s checking materia from left to right, once it gets something that can be activated it does it and it will always go for an attack but not always a support
Does plasma discharge stacks up with elemental materia? Lets say, I use elemental materia with fire and ice materia, then I use plasma discharge, I would get 3 elements on my sword ? kind broken right?
Auto Cast is more valuable if youre smart about how you use it. Auto cast heal or offensive spells is silly imo. If you need to heal or inflict a certain element youre going to just do it. Setting up your party for example Aerith with a silence immune Accessory and Auto Cleanse can auto cast Esuna and youll never have to worry about debuffs on your party. Have your meat shield Auto cast Fortify, Barrier or Bravery so youre not manually casting buffs. Its not good for things like Bio or Time magic because you dont want your party just randomly reapplying debuffs wasting ATB. Or slowing a target with a half full stagger gauge when you couldve applied it at the start of a stagger. You dont want to use Auto cast offensively either simply for the fact that Arcane Ward exists and not utilizing it to double your spells is simply bad gameplay and mana management. Just my personal take on it.
Does it work with enemy skill still? I haven't gotten far enough to get it but im wondering if it would pair well with plasma discharge since you do damage when you get atb charges
@@pappassassingaming it still works with enemy skill but it's not worth using it. It still only recovers 0.1% of the damage deal that like 1 or 2 MP per hit, even if you deal 9999 you only recover 9 MP.

The fire and ice materia grants access to both fire and ice spells. It is not a combination spell of the two but rather you get the use of two materia’s in one

It’s to encourage you on pressuring monster, once pressured, their stagger bars goes up drastically faster. Once staggered, that’s when you dish out the max dmg
I would like it if Square put more effort in Hardmode Limiting me to use items is not the challenge I want, because the game throws so many items at me that I cannot use them. I have never used Elixers or X-Potions in Dynamic Mode, so then when it actually matters in Hardmode, they disable it. They made a much better Hardmode in Final Fantasy XIII Lightning Returns. They made sure that whoever played a second run in Hardmode, would unlock different versions of Boss battles, like the boss Snow and Snow+ Adding more movesets and being surprised all over again. Modern Final Fantasy should not only challenge your skill but also your strategic plans. And this way they can expand on it much better. In my previous comment I said, BornMateria feature would break the game, but make it so that in Hardmode it will unlock. That way you reward the player for playing a challenging mode. Allow Materia like Magnify to be obtained just one time per Hardmode and let us do the work to Master it into a new one so we can't Chapter Farm it and won't be punished for Mastering it in the gamemodes before Hard
One top that I was given on fort condor and it was enough for me to finish all stages: when the match begins, only summon your units after the enemies reach your base. That way they will also get attacked by the bases themselves. Also, if I'm not wrong, for the first 4 stages, use balanced with Barret and Tifa. For hard mode use the 3rd set with cloud and Barret. Hope it helps
Forgot to mention, on the hard mode stages, always start on right lane with 2 crossbows, then 1 elite of whatever counters de first enemy. If needed summon a healer or move to set a crossbow on the left lane.

I haven’t done it yet but when you read the materia tutorial, or Manuel it says it does and it will prioritize from left to right.

Green= Magic materia
