I love you Daniel J. Layton, and all your glorious baking attempts. If there's one thing we learned from this video it's not that we need to bother with knowing the dictionary definition of "baking", but rather the synonyms to the word "great".
For the benefit of anyone watching this who's had that same icing problem, use cornflour to thicken it up. It won't add any extra fat or a weird flavour like lard and it doesn't make it overly sweet like icing sugar. Also, because it's flavourless, you won't lose the taste of the cream cheese or butter :)
I swear I never comment but when you said "I bought a cooling rack" I really get your excitement! Can't wait to see an other "Baking with Layton (also cooling rack)"

dan, I've never commented on one of your videos before but I've always enjoyed them. i like your story time ones, i know you want to be an actor and its clear that you have a way with captivating an audience even through a simple story. Im at university studying theatre and i really enjoy when you share little drama related opinions. just all in all i think you're doing great, don't worry, don't be scared, you're good.
This was great! Also serious baking advice, fluffy frosting (which is what us americans call the fluffy whites stuff, icing here is more like the glazy stuff) you need to use the electric mixer/whisker the whole time. Without speed it will become a glaze. I suspect if you had just powered through your lumptastic icing it would have become fluffy frosting. Love this series and you!

Loved this! Just a tip, for folding (since you dislike it) use one of the silicone spatulas because it's a lot easier and goes much faster. Best of luck with the rest of the baking videos!
