    The Dodgers signing Blake Snell just shows how determined they are to stay at the top. This move shakes up the market and puts pressure on teams like the Mets to respond. Can’t wait to see how this offseason unfolds!

    • @ricobaker470
      @ricobaker470 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@ndep93 That's not how the union looks at deferred money at all. It was the union that fought for the right for deferred money. They love it because it creates more money in the present moment for other players. Deferred money is a positive thing for the union and in order to change something in the CBA the owners would have to create a concession that the players want. The only thing that they would be willing to make a concession for is a reduction in team control which they tried to get in the last CBA and the owners waved it off as a nonstarter. Until owners are willing to give up 6 years of team control don't expect the players to give up anything that they already established in the CBA.

    This is why I think we shouldn't go all in. What's the point in selling off your farm system (as some fans are demanding)? Just make the playoffs. Bring back Manaea, and focus on stockpiling as much young, controlable players as possible. That means NOT signing players with qualifying offers. Within 2 years, you can have young dynamic team while players like Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman are declining.

    This is the Yankees. 2.0! Look at the market. They’re a juggernaut & playing within the rules. Mets getting Soto, Alonso an ace. 50, 35, 35. All of those contracts will leave 50 million for the entire rest of the ENTIRE team if you want to stay under 297. Cohen I think wants a sustainable team. This is why it’s just going to fill all those gaps. The bullpen needs to be priority. 50 million to fill up VERY LARGE pieces of the puzzle. The math isn’t there, imho.
