Of course he's a great guitar player. He's Canadian. Alex Lifeson, Kim Mitchell, Myles Goodwyn (April WIne), Rik Emmett (Triumph), Jeff Healey, Randy Bachman (BTO, The Guess Who), Lindsay Mitchell (Prism), Paul Dean (Loverboy), Brian Smith (Trooper), Derry Grehan (Honeymoon Suite) . . .
I have seen Bon Jovi three times with Phil X and the first time was when he filled in for Richie Sambora in 2011 and while the five times I saw Bon Jovi with Richie will always have a special place in my heart because he’s the reason I picked up a guitar in the first place there might not be a Bon Jovi anymore if Phil X wasn’t able to step back in. But while we’re on the subject @RyanRoxieOfficial you’ve talked with Orianthi and with Phil X, so what about Richie Sambora? It would be a true highlight for me because you guys are two of my favorite guitarists!
Saw him on the first few shows on the opening tour after ritchies departure. Phil was a little nervous and chopped up some licks here and there. A couple years later I saw them again and I wished Jon had retired too and left the band to phil. Great guitarist and great singer!!
I lasted 5 minutes on this pod. DUDE YOU HAVE A POD CAST! PODCASTERS SPEAK! UP! SPEAK UP MAN! you low, quiet whispery voice even draws Phil x to speak soft n whispery. just speak up man. Jeeez
Iv subscribed. I love Ryan Roxie. Bon Jovi is my 2nd favorite band next to Kiss Alice Cooper 3rd lol. Kiss and Bon Jovi have alot in common the Desmond Child connection same record label for years. Now the Tommy Thayer replacing Ace and Phil replacing Ritchie Sambora. Ritchie was unreplaceable in my opinion. Bon jovi new stuff is horrible no soul just Jon singing simple crap. Kiss was able to reinvent themselves in the 80's Bruce Kulick was an amazing guitar player.
@@timothypadilla1277 it sounds like he is an employee, not a band member. He can negotiate terms. He must be happy enough. Can't compare his situation to the singer.
In Phil We Trust! Was so stoked when he joined Bon Jovi - favourite band and favourite guitarist... and one of the most amazing human beings I’ve met!
That was a blast... Phil X deserves every ounce of success he's ever had... screw painting garages haha!
Definely! Thanks for watching ;)
Looking forward to this Chat. Always support a fellow Canadian 🇨🇦 musician, no matter the band🤘 And you of course Ryan...😜

Rob Baker
Not sure what geographical location has to do with it.
You missed the best of all FRANK MARINO.
Pat Travers!
Been to Stockholm in March 2002...Played a show at a club called STAMPEN...Awesome City!!!
This is the most calm I've ever seen Phil X.
He does good job playing EVH covers as well.
I remember Phil X playing with Aldo Nova. Always been great.
Great intimate moments with two giants 🤘🇨🇦

He does the job ,since his a member , he should have the artistic freedom to own the bonjovi solo's live now .
Phil, don't forget TRIUMPH!
fucking amazing!!!
I'm much more of a Phil X fan than Bon Jovi. I look forward to more of his band "The Drills".

10:19 well, I´m not a native speaker and so, this sentence sounds rather strange to me 😁
When the front man from one of the biggest bands in the world actually calls you and says hey We need you, then you go and pinch yourself.
Phil sounds like a very down to earth guy. Rumor has it he was only making $10k per month. Hopefully thats wrong and he got paid well.
10k a month isn’t good?
@@dickmonkey-king1271 not doing 20 shows a month and the frontmans making that a night.
@@timothypadilla1277 it sounds like he is an employee, not a band member. He can negotiate terms. He must be happy enough. Can't compare his situation to the singer.
@@dickmonkey-king1271 absolutely correct just saying 10k a month is nothing in comparison.
@@timothypadilla1277Get out of here lol. $120k USD is a great salary
Haha "Uli Lee Roth, easily my favourite singer in Van Halen! Sam Hagen was ok but he was no Uli" lol
It’s Ulithi Jon Roth, original lead guitar for the scorpions, dummy.
@@woodythepoo1 it's called sarcasm
Canadians always ready? weird comment.. Phil's like wtf?
why are you whispering ?
